Merlin users..need input

So i got the electronic shut off kit today, and it looks pretty simple to set up, but theres one problem.... It is made to only go onto reservoirs with a hard plastic lid. In my case, i have a 100gal rubbermaid stock tank which comes with no lid. So i found that i can install the non-electronic float on the side of the rez, but it doesnt work like that when it comes to the electronic shut off float. If you havent seen it, jus google, its hard to describe. I have a few ideas as how to make this work, but i wanna hear others input. I think its some b.s. that ive spent 600 on a merlin, and 150 on a shutoff kit, and i still have to fu*#ing modify the damn thing!! any help appreciated. thx

I cover my rez with poly, so i cant just attach these floats to that...

I'd just fix some type of bracket near the top rim of your reservoir.

oh great, now merlin is spitting out 75 ppm water wtf?? anybody else have this prob...?

I'm not sure what the brackets are normally used for..just suggesting that you could fabricate to give you a mounting point for your float.

I believe the float kit comes with some type of membrane filter?
It most likely needs flushed out for 30min or so ..when you'd take your 75ppm reading?

i didnt install the kit yet. i took the reading from the regular merlin setup. I jus got the ppm meter for this place so its the first reading ive been able to take.
