Hello fellows and friends!

Starting a new grow today, just dropped the bombs of Melon Gum, Blue Cheese and Critical Kush into their own cups of water. They will start their journey from an unlighted cupboard, and end up enjoying underneath a 400W HPS light.

Couple of days, basically as soon as I see a crack and white cream on the seed, they will be planted into a soil mixture consisting of 2 parts black peat and 1 part perlite. Small jiffy pots will do at first. Their first rays of light comes from two 24W high-efficiency fluorescent tubes, 6400 K. After they have rooted, about 7-14 days, I will transfer them into one liter pots, and finally they will end up into a 75 liter growbed.

In one liter pots, I basically have a soil mix with one part allmix, one part lightmix and one part perlite.

To the growbed, in which the plants will veg for 2-3 weeks and then flower 8-9 weeks, I mix my soil the following way: (tried to convert the best I could)

AllMix 50 l / 13 gallons
LightMix 25 l / 8 gallons
Perlite 5 l / 1,5 gallons

GuanoKalong 375 g / 0.827 pounds
Organic Lime 50 g /
0.110 pounds

My growbed dimenions are *56 cm / 1 feet and 10 inches width x *54 cm / 1 feet and 9 inches length x *40 cm / 1 feet and 4 inches height. Its built according to Soma's growbeds... google it, if you do not know.

I also use organic teas and bottle nutes for care and nutrition. E
ven with the organic lime in the soil, I still make sure that my ph is about 6.0 - 6.5 when I water or mix teas.

Grow: Biogrow
Flower: Biocanna Boost, Biocanna Flores, GuanoKalong
Protection: Neem Oil
Roots, fungi etc.: Biocanna Rhizotonic, Biolink+

I hope I get lucky and find quality phenos, excited to see what the outcome will be.

Repotted to the final growbed. Interesting month behind. I acquired a new table growlight garden with a heating pad for these seedlings and future cuttings, cost-effective and worked really well..
The only except, Blue Cheese, is showing a light yellowing on the lower leaves due to the one liter pot getting too tight for her shantiness. Well, 75 liters to fill now, shouldnt be a problem. 2-3 weeks of 18/6 in front for these fellows.

5 weeks of vegetation, supercropping of the main stalks

Supercropping - Added one bend to each flower. I like to bend the main stalk at this point to have a more even plant.

Foliar food and nutrition - Roots please! So I foliar feed with BioCanna Rhizotonic & BioBizz Product X (contains magnesium, copper, manganese, zinc, iron etc.)

Im liking all of the phenos. Bushy, fast growth, strong stalks and already an odor that brings a smile to a growers face.

6 weeks of vegetation - Changing light period

6 weeks of vegetation - Changing light period

6th week of vegetation behind and luscious green landscape in front of our eyes. I topped and did some pruning in the past week. As You can see, space is limited. Also took cuttings for future, plenty from all of the strains. Soo... everything is shanti, for now.

This upcoming 7th week is sacred as it will set the flowers ready for blossom. All of the strains are showing signs of maturation and sex, all females. I started to change the lighting period. I do it in phases. From 18/6 to 16/8 to 14/10 to 12/12. This will slow down stretching, and will give me more time to be prepared in case there will be symptoms of nutrient deficiencies. Stretching is stressful for the plant, and causes nutrients to be taken out very fast from the soil by the plants.

Ready to blossom

Ready to blossom

First week of flowering period behind and everyone has continued to grow strong and healthy. Lucky grower!

We all know that a hungry plant is an angry plant, so Ive carefully started to feed with a nutritious tea (1ml/1liter biogrow - 1ml/1liter kelpmeal - 1ml/1liter bioflores) to avoid any deficiences.
I water twice a week, once with tea and once with water.

Melon Gum has streched a bit more than the others, which I tried to avoid with the lighting period changed gradually, but genetics is genetics. We all are one but unique in our own ways, lesson learned.

I was able to root the cuttings that I took from all of these phenos. Now I really want to see how these flowers are going to blossom and if they truly are keepers. In case they are, next run I am doing a proper scrog since it will increase yield and efficiently use all of the room and lighting in the tent, so do not judge me for this yet.

Melon Gum. I wasnt able to open the knot that was made during lst training. I hope she can still breathe, what doesnt kill makes one stronger. Reminds me of a picture Ive seen where a tree has 'eaten' an old rusty bike.

My beloved one arranged a poem for these fine individuals to make them happier. :huggg:

Hi rastas, It just goes to show that you can grow in a limited space just as long as you keep bending them over, I too only have limited space now for 6 plants, I have a mini grostar reflector that i have used in my grow tent many times but doe's not fit in the closet and yes the grostar is the dogs dangly bits i now use a 400wt bulb as the 600wt is overkill and causes heat issues, Good luck Crumpledtrumpet.

You are right Crumpledtrumpet, it is important to keep bending them and really taking time to do it. Trying to even out the light for every bud. But, for limited spaces and for maximum yields, scrog is a must..

Ive also noticed that one must remember to clean all of the smaller´popcorn buds´ out underneath the canopy when flowering, the sooner the better. These little ones wont even flower properly since they wont receive enough light and in the end just takes a lot of energy out of the plant for nothing. This action gives a larger yield, Ive seen.

Thank You and Good luck to You too Crumpledtrumpet.

Update from the tight corners of the tent. 2 weeks of flowering behind and we are about to reach our adult height. Critical Kush is the short one in this story. They have treated us well and the grower is still smiling a lot, Shanti knows why. But each and every day as we ripen, we are getting hungrier.

Blue Cheese in the back

Canopy level. Critical Kush is a lot shorter and more indica than Blue Cheese and Melon Gum.

A complete view.

Blue Cheese - A little bit sativa dominant, slow in flowering and streched.

Melon Gum - Already a favorite. Divine odor and plenty of resin. This pheno is a bit indica dominant but has sativa in her.

Critical Kush - A textbook indica. Like said earlier, the short one in this childrens story. Gonna be a fat one, as well.

Thanks man, tryin to keep it SENSI all the way to harvest...

Melon Gum is something different, yes! First the aroma was closer to Lavender than Bubblegum. Later in flowering she has started to show more bubblegummy characters, and the smell has gotten more SWEET. The only negative is that I am missing Lavenders beautiful pink and purple color that come out, and still havent figured out why they call it Melon Gum.. Lavender Gum, would have been more rational in my opinion.
