MegaMix from GOLDENSEED.CO.UK

hi ALL

I`m not really gunna write anything as of yet , but this is just a start to my thread that should go all the way to harvest.

I have just acquired A packet of seeds from goldenseed.co.uk ` the megaMix ` 30 seeds for only £22 including postage i think it was only meant to be 20 seeds , but necver look a gift horse in the mouth i always say .

Start date

Sept. 18th 2007

1) Purchased seeds




2) Start to germinate 15 seeds out of the original 30 .



Germination is in kitchen roll with distilled water and a tiny tiny amount of superthrive.

I`ll check back in a few days when some seeds have hopefully started to germinate.

Still to come the building of my new grow room and the megamix grow all the way to harvest.

Hmm I've never heard of goldenseed, i'll have to give them a try sometime! looks like they have a good selection

daily update.
19th Sept. 2007
checked the seeds this afternoon.

so far 4 of the 15 have popped and a very small root is forming . i`ll wait 3 days before putting in soil.

20th September

Started work on my new grow space today .

it measures 2ft * 3ft * 6ft

ample space for a small scale grow.



i`m going to address the mould problem using anti mould paint and a dehumidifier.

Update on the seeds ....

10 popped so far .


thats a good germination rate in 2 days by anybodies reckoning.

24th September

i now have an up and running grow room , almost . i have to still put the permenant wood panelling on but it`s now light proof and i have a rudementary ventaltion system in place.




I am awaiting the delivery of a 150mm centrifugal inline fan , purchased from ebay , a real bargain !

10 of the 13 seeds that germanated have now popped up above ground .

I planted the germinated seeds in a mixture of soiless compost , perlite and vermiclite.

I have them under a 70 Watt Metal halide in the grow room until i sort out the temperatures and ventilation system

then i`ll add an extra 250 Watt

and then hopefully if i get it sorted out i`ll be able to use my 600 Watt for the flowering stage.

Think that 320w of MH will be enough for 13 plants?
