I need to vent for just a second...


I went in to a couple pipe shops the other day and it's insane to see how they are catering to the medical marijuana. In my eyes when I walk into a pipe shop and see able bodied individuals who seriously could do without it, can get rec's without problem. Medical Marijuana for the most part is a big fucking joke. I hate to say it but it fucking is. There are people that need it but seriously a large portion of people are just fucking stoners abusing states rights....


I was looking in the newspaper and I see 1800 kush or something like that....these club owners are legit drug dealers for the most part.....



I think MM should be used to keep people off prescription pain killers(<<these are the worst of all my friends)...we could save so many lives

dude what the fuck are you on? why should you have to be terminally ill or something in order to have a condition that is deemed 'worthy' of MMJ use? how about people who smoke pot in large part b/c they enjoy it and it keeps them from smoking cigarettes? or the person with the eating disorder who maybe doesn't 'look' sick to you but pot helps them block out their eating hangups and get an appetite...i mean seriously the list goes on and on...

to restrict MMJ to the realm of 'replacing prescription painkillers' is NOT what the movement is about...MJs healing and beneficial qualities extend way beyond just some dulled out killing of pain...there are a wide range of active cannabinoids with many different properties...i'm going to stop now b/c this is a waste of time but you need to get off ur high horse...the only people abusing anyone's rights is the state and federal governments that choose to infringe upon the natural right of humans to grow and use what the earth will yield...

In my country people who really need mj have to use half synthetic thc which is 10 times more expensive because it is synthesized from industrial hemp with 0.3% thc .

Just like in every potentially abusable situation, there may be people abusing these laws. However, having marijuana recognized as a medicine is already a great thing (especially in the USA, with their drug war and shit), and opens more perspectives for our favorite herb, if you ask me.

I think it makes no doubt that some people are earning shitloads of cash with med clubs and such. But personally, I think I'd rather give my money to stoners than the government.

Please note that I do not consider myself a medical user, it sometimes helps me to sleep and eases my back aches, but it's mainly a pleasure, not a cure.

I don't consider myself able to diagnose anyone...but more often than not I hear this response from many so called 'medical users'..."oh yeah it was so easy...so I just call up the guy and uhhh tell him that you need marijuana for this and that, anyone can do it, just pay them 200 bucks."

I don't think I'am on a high horse about any of this...I use it for pleasure as well..but who doesn't?? I just hate the fact that my good friend had to die this morning because of the pain killers he was prescribed...while you little stoners get to have your head change....

We all know that there are LOTS of people with scripts for MM that don't need them, I'm sure it's as easy as getting any other script you don't need. I think whats going on in MM states is a really good example of how stupid the whole prohibition situation is.

I think going to a doctor to get a script you don't need because you like to get high is undignified. I feel like it's more honest to score off a regular dealer than support a doctor who gives out bullshit scripts for profit OR waste the time of a legit doctor.

I appreciate the fact that a lot of folks worked really hard to make MM happen and that there are plenty of folks that need it, but it makes all smokers look like douchebags when the system is abused. And don't front, you all know this is going on.

Try not to direct your anger towards us, we did not prescribe your friend the narcotics. I am truely sorry for your loss, but blaming mmj users is not going to make you feel better. I don't know, maybe I shouldn't speak for you...does it make you feel better?

There are lots of folks that abuse the mmj system, but there are more that abuse prescription pain killers. Most of the mmj folks on this board are seriously in need. What sort of response did you expect to get?

This has been a topic of discussion for some time, I think the situation Trancerman mentioned is blinding his thoughts behind the post.
On one hand we have to hide if we are recreational users but at the same time it is a spit in the face of those who are seriously ill to use the term "Med User". I know it is well known that there are numerous abuses of any system set in place and this is by no means any different. We all know at least 1 or 2 of these people but it is usually ignored as the med use movement benefits us as well in baby steps. While I'll be the first to admit that I feel it is a violation of my personal rights, at some point we will have to sepperate ourselves from med users, as rec users. I'm not sick and I don't want to be but I loves to smoke me pot. If asked about it I would never claim to be sick even if it did get me a prescription but thats me and I don't have any judgments against those that do; it's just my moral and nothing more.

MMJ has never killed anyone, wouldnt u have rather your friend be fraudulantly prescribed to mmj to aid him than some narcotic pain pills? im not understanding how u are hating on a non lethal drug being prescribed when 10s of thousands are fraudulantly prescribed to the very pain killers your friend very sadly passed away on.

I understand your need to vent, as most "normal" humans require venting off periods, however, I do find your venting a little offensive.

Prior to obtaining my exemptee license, I was on many different kinds of pain killers, opioids, that had limited effect in controlling my pain, but horrific effect on my state of mind. Marijuana on the other hand helps considerably with controlling the pain while still maintaining a certain level of quality of life, without the harmful and often fatal side effects commonly found in chemical prescription drugs.

If you were to see me standing on the street, you would have no idea I even consumed marijuana, never mind being a legitimate medical patient.

Looks are often deceiving..."Never judge a book by it's cover."
