The New Zealand Law Commission issued a paper on controlling and regulating drugs that calls for the legalization of marijuana for medical use in "limited circumstances", and suggests rehab instead of prison for marijuana users.

"There is not a single solitary chance that as long as I'm the Minister of Justice that we'll be relaxing drug laws in New Zealand."

And so the draconian situation for cannabis users in New Zealand continues. When will NZ stop treating marijuana users like criminals?
