Medical growlab tent grow

So I just picked up a 3'11 by 3'11 by 6'7 tall growlab ten and will be using a 430 watt hortilux bulb, can 33 and a 6inch can fan. Legally I can grow 6 plants in my area and I plan to grow indica.

My question is, as I will be slowly making this perpetual, would it be better for me to do a 6 plant sog or more like a 2-3 bigger bushy plants.

What are other peoe doing with these tents? I plan on using organic soil.

With the plant number limitation how 'bout a 4 plant scrog under the 430 and a small tent holding 1 or 2 mother plants under florescent lights, and take clone(s) right after every harvested scrogged plant(s).

Hi wastekan,

Four plants should easily have enough room huh. I definitly want to do a scrog, so I will probably go that route.

As far as setting up a clone box. Is it best to have flourescents or would it be too much if I had a 400 watter in there? I may someday upgrade to 600w but that will depend if I really need it.

For me four plants and a 400 watt'r is optimal for a scrog, my current plants double in size during the flower stretch and i fill the screen a little less than 3/4 then flip to 12/12 and finish filling the screen in.

Florescent bulbs are actually better to clone under than a HIDs (in my experience), and since i don't want my mothers to grow wild and just need a few clones the florecent lights are a good economical choice. I use a four bulb 2 foot t5 lamp over my mothers and set my clones just off to the side of the main light.
I have the same size tent with a 400 watt cmh in it, and it sure looks like a 600 watt will run in there great. And if you need to increase yields more light is the answer -)

Sounds like I am getting on the right track! What did you use for the scrog screen in your tent?

I use the sides to an welded wire animal cage the kind that pet stores sell to "control" or store (lol) your cat or dog in, it was one of the collapsible types, i framed it with cedar 1x2's, and 4 legs made of 2x2's set to be about 8" above the tops of the plant pots. I have the legs outside my flood table siting on the ground.
Lots of growers use the 2" chicken wire or trellis netting, but i like the 'welded" wire of the cage not so apt to cut the stems while training the plant like i did with a chicken wire table-).

Really, the chicken wire is sharp/thin enough to snip branches? I will have to be extra careful with whatever scrog screen I make. I like the pet cage idea. Nice and sturdy.
