So my landlord calls me up and says the neighbors called him because they suspect we are growing pot. He said they complained about the AC running @ night(a 4 ton excel stealth), the fact that our garage is never open, and the construction sounds that occurred shortly after we moved in. He goes on to say that he loves us(me and wifey), he told the neighbor that he thoroughly checked us out and we have super credit, and he suggests that we open the garage door once in a while but he didnt seem to have an interest in checking out the garage for himself. I said ok to opening the garage door once in a while but really cannot because there is a wall there now with R-50 insulation behind it. We are in 100% compliance with the county regulations for legal amounts of medical marijuana we have growing in our garage. should i be worried about anything? I'm following the state law and in sonoma county with less than 99 and my canopy sq footage is well within the limits. Should i even be worried if my landlord wants to check it out? Its probably one of the nicest, cleanest, 95% organic soil gardens i've been in or seen pics of. I got the vibe that our landlord doesnt seem to care too much. I just dont like the neighbors thinking im a sketchball.

Medical Grow Nosy Neighbors

Maybe you have stumbled on the dream landlord.
But I would plan for the eventuality of the neighbor calling the sheriff and trying to get them to check you out. A call that might have already been placed.

Here's how I handled it.
My neighbors are good people.
Upstanding members of the community, blah, blah.
They see me as the same.
When I got my blue card. I invited the neighbor over for drinks n pupus, 2 at a time, and told them why there would be a small greenhouse on my lanai.
Said happily, "you'll be seeing me without my cane, but my eyes may be a li'l red, found a new Med."
Difference is, this one works!
Unlike the Oxy-whatevers, and da hoozit-profens.
They were curious 'bout medical MJ, and tickled to get the facts, (and a testamonial), from someone they already knew and trusted.
Showed them my blue card and explained the "rules" of medical MJ.
Turns out, the folks to the north are stoners and the rest were so impressed by my new mobility and demeanor that they are fully supportive.
(Seems they were feeling for me, watchin' me hobble around with my pain-face on.)
Didn't realize it showed that much.
No matter, I'm smilin' now.
If those neighbors are da kine dat make better friends dan enemies, well, you are legal, educate them!
Nosy neighbors are a very good thing when they are being nosy about prowlers n theives.
That's the kine activism that will actually end the prohibition.
Jus' a couple pennies from an ol' fart.

I just hope you don't get robbed by whoever might overhear your nosy neighbor complaining about your grow. Who knows how many of his friends/neighbors/complete strangers, etc. he's told about his "weed growing neighbor".

It's like poker you don't have to see every hand ,through some you fold.You do know your neighbor is a douche and you are a renter why should you stay.Right now every property owner is a nice guy they want your rent.Be happy they showed their true colors before they they made you subject of the weekly neighborhood watch.I bet your next place is just right.
