Hello fellow I.C.'rs; I am perplexed a bit.. I have been to many (20+) med co-ops here in the California area, north and south. I have bougt some cuts from these places as well as ordering seeds via "Seedbay" and a couple other seed companies. Well since the new "Homelandsecurity" bull shit, I am too affraid to order seeds anymore. So i go to the local co-ops to find good proven plant stock. Now i'm not going to say that All the co-ops are full of shit, just 80% of them are in my personal experience! Now one of my buddies gets a job at one of the co-ops and has been filling me in on what goes on behind the counter. This one particular co-op does NOT check with their clone suppliers if the clones are from a reputable seed company. On many occasions my friend told me that the clones come in and the person droping them off tells them what they are, but then they (co-op workers) forget and end up calling the clones what "they thought" the guy said. To me that is lame, and adds to the suspicion of the co-ops are for money and not accuracy.
I mainly just wanted to post this to warn people not to just give open trust to these med co-ops. so far i would rate their strain supply line a D+. I have one last test to perform on this subject before I call bull shit on the med co-ops supply line. I have aquired Super silver haze, lavender, p. kush, sour kush, shipwreck, purple urkle, kush, heavy duty fruity, maui wowie, and hawiian snow x unknown. I aquired this from people that said "these clones where taken from Original seeds of the respected breeder banks (sensi seeds, greenhouse, etc.). Well when i picked up the clones, they all where to be desired for as far as looks go. meaning they (cloners) didnt keep things very clean or organized. Which leads me to think some clones where mis labled. I even passed on the Grand daddy purple cuts due to the damage they took at cloning (looked dead to me). I have had okay luck with one of the many cuts i have gotten from the co-ops. Thats not a high enough ratio of success for me, so i'm not going back to the med co-ops for my genetics anymore.. I think i'll risk the jail time and just order the seeds "Direct". I thought I could trust the co-ops because they where like minded people, but i was wrong,, i think they use cannabis as a guise to make their money.. And their pricing is out of control: $420.00 for an oz. of good herb.!. thats insane (unless its a indoor sativa). People that have illnesses (physical or mental) should not be getting screwed over like this IMHO. so Cal. med co-ops = 20% reality 80% novelty. So i guess it comes down to buyer beware so beware.. lol.. good luck everyone,, I'll try to post my grows on the breeds i got from these co-ops, and give them the benifit of the doubt
Has anyone else had similar experiences with Med co-op's from abroad.?.?.
Thanks for listening..
