Some pics of my outdoor plants (europe-belgium).

first grow :joint:

there are not that big if I compare them with some of the pics i've seen on the forum. But i think they look healthy and have a nice colour.
In the beginning i removed the 'armpit branches (?)'. I hope i did the right thing, because they dont look that thick now.

(watch the belgian beer, almost as good as weed :yummy: )

Hey ted good to see some more peeps here from different parts of the world...ur plants are lookin very healthy..how old are they?? wen u say they u removed the "armpit branches" did u mean the side shoots coming from the nodes? if yes then dont pull them out or u will just have a pole plant and u willl lose on yield come flower time.....oh and welcome to IC mag :joint:

Hello D.

Yes, I mean the side shoots.... S.o. told me to do that...

I realize now I shouldnt have..damn...
Now i leave them alone. I hope the top of the plant wont become too heavy bc side shoots grow fast now (but only at the top of the plant...)

The plants are from early may. The strain is Durban Poison Amazing Special (Outdoor) It should grow in to a big plant with large buds. :woohoo:

specs:

strain from Swaziland
Plant Height: Tall; Mostly Sativa
Buzz Type: Light Cerebral Sativa High
T.H.C. Level: Moderate; 5-10%
Weeks Flowering : 9-11
Yield (Dried grams per square meter in a Sea of Green): 400-500
Harvest Month: October

Thanks guys...

@ Dee:

soil: ordinary plant soil

nutes: nothing yet. I've bought a bottle of 7-3-7 which I'm planning to use next week or so... I hope that will do...dont wont to burn my babies...

climate: yeah, same shitty climate as you i guess :frown:

no 2b honest, last few weeks were splendid: sunny & warm. I think the summermonths are good enough, sept/okt are quite sketchy considering the moist in the air...we'll see.

Hey ted the weather has ben good here too very nice apart from the odd thunderstorm tho its rain then sun then rain today....add some perlite to ur potting soil next time u repot just to help get some air to the roots..i find alot of average potting compost compactds wen ur roots get down well...peace

well, I took ur advice to heart: I bought some bigger pots, bought some perlite + guano (grains)

I took 1/3 potting soil, 1/3 perlite and 1/3 guano

Its a lot of guano, but since im repotting , the new mixture will be maybe 1/3 or 1/4 of the total soil, so according to my calculations, it schould be OK. :chin:

I prepared the mixture yesterday but i'll wait a few days b4 repotting. Let it rest first (so advises the guano box )

Also,im going to test the PH of the soil, some maybe ill add some chalk.

next week im planning to add some nutes (ordinary Substral (npk 7-3-7)) to the water once a week.

Hey ted i think that will be too much on the guano it may burn ur roots especially wen u start feeding id add a bit more soil too that, best to be safe u dont wanna kill em off...10% guano shud be plenty enough and feeding wont be neccasary for a few weeks...i dunno how much guano u shud use but i wudnt go over 15% its not worth the risk to burn ur plants...peace Edit dunno how different it is to chalk cuz iv never had the need to use it but if u wanna stabilise ur ph in the soil if its too high or low then use dolomite lime it stabilises ur soil to about 7...

Hmm, but since the extra soil i'll need to repot wont be more than 1/3 of total volume, ill have a 1/9 ratio (1/3 on 1/3) guano/other...or 11%

but ur prob right, i'll cut it down a bit...

Thanks again for yr advice, D

Heres a pic of the second crop i have (same strain, other place- the terrace of a non-smoking friend ;-)

The big one is about 60 cm /2 feet .

Same thing going on there as in my place: 1 big one and 2 small plants... could it be that the biggies are males....?

( i really love this growing thing)

Hey ted yeh do that, also id wait until the plants are a bit bigger bfore u repot, just to make sure they have a good root system bfore u repot...btw those other plants look nice too very healthy...peace

sup ted, nice looking plants. well, IMO i would not top them because they will be flowering soon (in the US anyway) and won't be getting too much bigger.

definitly a male remove it before those sacs open, if they havent already.
female preflowers will have two white pistls coming out of a pear shape ovule, male flowers hang in clusters & show before female flowers & open up around the sametime when the female just starts to flower.
