Hi, I hope someone will fill me in about this interesting strain, which is The Real Seed Company's Mazzar-I-Shariff. Is this strain really a landrace ? And why it's flowering so late ? I read about it, and it is said it finishes in december or january ! Aren't indicas supposed to finnish early ? Or it isn't a 100% indica ? I have no intention to grow it because I'm a beginner and I don't have a greenhouse yet but I'll appreciate if someone will enlighten me. Peace, HJ.

I would love to try and run the MIS in a greenhouse someday. This year I will try the Afghan Kush from World of Seeds as my first grow, hope it turns out well. Thanks again Paulo for the quick answers.

Its a large and late flowering landrace Afghan strain, most of the Afghan farmers grow this type, but there are other shorter and earlier types.

The Dutch Passion one has, and probably most Dutch bred ones.
But the RSC Mazar is a landrace.

Two more questions though; how does this strain survive the temperatures there in december or january ? And doesn't the potency decrease much ?

Hi, thanks for your answer. I think I will try that Mazzar next year. This year I will try Paradise Seeds' Vertigo Auto and World of Seeds' Afghan Kush as my first grow, hope it ends well. Good luck with your grow too !

Good low temp resistance

Good low temp resistance

In my very limited experience MIS they have a very high tolerance to low and high temperatures being the main issue the mold issues on the last stages of flowering. Bushy plants with very dense nugs that make the air circulation hard and promotes water retention on the shaded parts of the plants.
Lower trimming, a little defoliation, good extraction&intake and a couple of standing fans to promote air circulation are imho essential to provide to the Mazzars a suitable environment.
Have a couple of pics from a previous grow

Merci Husky J',
Mom has a long flo 14/15 weeks but some F2s are near the 12. The last pic was around the end of September, not really ready but harvestable, less body high and more fruity in that way. So by outdoors must still be better at dryer latitude in the fall, these babes are sensitive to moisture due to their high resin concentration... ;)
