Long veg is good if you want to yield huge extra long stems :nono:

You want a good yield, get a HID lamp.

If you cant get a HID lamp then I would sugest LST or even toping then LST. You want the plants as short as possible because the CFL light penetration is poor. Short spread out plants with the CFL's right above them as close as they can get without burning them.

Other then that nutrients, ph, and good ventilation is key.

Good luck^^

MedResearcher is right, if you want yield, get an HPS for flower. Also, CFL's are terrible for penetration. LST the hell out of them and upgrade your light. Good luck!

well u if plan on going low budget and sticking with the cfls i would lst and give each cola its individual lights because as MedResearcher, bassmechanic27 said cfls cant penetrate for shit heres a pic from my cfl grow

I recommend LST - these have been grown under a 200W envirolight (one month veg). CFLs are more than capable of producing big yields with proper training - although I flower under HPS, I've seen amazing buds produced with just cfls.

yup, if you are going to flower with cfls you have to get that canopy flat and up next to the light, either LST or SCROG

So you know in the future potting up your cuts ensures best utilization of soil, you want to start in a 4 inch container or something similar. When you throw a cut into a 5 gallon container the roots will grow along the sides leaving a "big empty" in the middle,a poor utilization of available media.Letting the rootball grow into successive containers before transplanting up ensures you use the soil wisely.I do at least 2 transplants with clones sometimes three with seedplants.Learn the wet and dry weights of the containers you will be using to determine when to water and transplant.I normally water every 4th to 5th day when starting in a container, when I'm having to water every other day becuase the plant demands it,I know its time for a transplant.

is it gonna affect my plants realy bad? do i need to put them in smaller containers?

LST gives you some pretty good results...I grow in a vertically challenged space, so it is important to keep them short, but wide-it basically turns all buds into colas :rasta:

heres a pic when it started...

heres some buds I got when it was finished...
