So its been a while since I've done indoors and trying to get my setup going again. I am buying a 5x5 grow lab tent to use since i can't quite fit the 9x5 in my spare room. I was running 2000 watts turbo charged in a 10x5 enclosed space in a basement last time i was growing about 25 plants.
My question is how much wattage is too much for my 5x5 space? I dont really want to waste electricity if its not going to help the yield.. I am just starting off with 12 in there this time around and then probably bump up to 16-25 for my next run. I have ran 2 600s in the 5x5 before and was able to keep my temps at a good level since the lights are in Air cooled hoods... The upside is the ballasts ARE Switchable so if i wanted i could set them up as 2 600s and get that extra 200 watts instead of running a single 1k in there.
I use 3 liter smart pots so thats how i can fit up to 25 in a 5x5 at a time 5 rows of 5. Obviously its a tight fight but i usually keep the veg short...4 weeks and top after 4th node so they are bushy but get nice top buds and no larfy stuff( just something i have learned from past grows...) Anyhow, just curious as to what the general consensus is on how many watts per plant before its just reflected... thanks guys!
