Matisyahu and something dank

Hey guys I have just been on to this one musical group Matisyahu, anyone know much about them or thier message story etc. Just sounds really nice when I burn something and start doing chores around la casa or try my cooking skills. Know of any nice sounds feedback would be good. Have heard Matisyahu a few times in Austin once with 311 and just brought me to a new level was in a bad mood and the way that guy went off was just tops.

yeah Matisyahu is the man. Definitely some good tunes!
I couldn't believe it at first when I found out he was a hasidic jewish rapper, I would LOVE to see him perform live.

yeah i first got into matisyahu in the late summer of '05 (them were the daze)
with that live at stubbs cd..

i was amazed at how fuckin real that shit sounded.. haha and like zlock sed when you find out hes a hasidic jew it'l blow your mind..

weird part is when he put out some studio shit soon after, i couldnt stand it.. although his latest album is pretty hard core

yeah hes some dood from ohio or something who used to goto a bunch of PHISH shows,,,,smoke weed and eat L,,,, then he went to the holy land and decided to embrace his religion. now hes a sell out pop musician who talks down against drugs and is constantly changing his sound to make his albums sell better....however ,,, his band is really talented musicians and i have much respect for them. one thing i will say about matisyahu,,,his live shows DO NOT dissapoint. alot of energy,,,passion,,,and enthusiasm.

yeah thats one thing i was disappointed to find out that he's anti-pot or anything intoxicating for that fact. i think he even spoke out against non matrimony sex.. what a tool in that sense.. to each their own i spose

obvious that the majority of his listeners are smokers. wants his albums to

keep selling regardless of his message. and i have no respect for artists like that.

I know I missed the 311 show in Austin with them that would have been tops, sucks to find out he is against pot but I really could care less what the man thinks or his opinions as long as the music is positive, has good energy and doesn't bring us down. A sell out huh interesting, hey check out my latest grow in 2 and a half years

I have been a fan for a few years. The last two albums have some great tracks. They are not all keepers but some have a great sound. So much dancehall is so cheesy these days.
