55,000 Pot Plants Found In The Hills Of Vacaville

A massive marijuana bust has netted more than 55,000 pot plants found growing in the hills of Solano County.
Detectives from the Solano County Sheriff's and the State Department of Justice were flown into the hills above Vacaville on Monday where they eradicated more than 12,000 marijuana plants.
The same teams went out again on Tuesday and located three more pot gardens with 43,414 plants. The marijuana plants were flown out from the grown sites by helicopter and then destroyed at an undisclosed location.
Detectives estimate the street value of the pot found during the two-day operation was $278 million.
No one has been arrested but officers located sophisticated camps set up near the marijuana grow sites. They believe the pot gardens are being paid for by drug traffickers from Mexico.
