Maybe if the State taxed it and reaped huge revenue from the dispenceries, they would fight the Feds when they tried to raid their "cash-cropper".
This may be a good idea. The State officials would stand their ground if the Feds tried to shut a dispencery down.
This may help protect the store owners?

At the moment here in Colorado they are going to slap a hefty tax on recreational. It is 15% excise tax on the product, 10% sales tax in the store, which are all state taxes. Each city is allowed to slap on their own sales tax. Right now Denver city is 2.5% but they will probably change that because all the old drug warriors are getting pretty desperate to stop recreational weed any way they can. We have had a lot of trouble due to the Columbian cartels here very recently and I hope the high taxes doesn't drive business to them. They state has been fishing around to find what the average sales price is so they know how much to tax.

Well you get some smart sob figuring tax the hell out of it, keep the black market going, and we can still arrest the poor bastard needing meds or just trying to relieve a little stress. Man talk about an uphill battle.
