mars300 reflector - micro?

Hey icmag,

Needed to ask a few questions if that is cool? I was looking at the Mars300 reflector - what sort of distance would that need to be from the plants- i did hear some peeps saying 6 inches was ok with it. I have only 30 inches in height or so to work with. Was using a 200w cfl previously with mixed results. It would be only for 1/2 plants for personal use.

I am using the mars 48x3 so "150" watt reflector and i like to keep it no closer then 12" .. I have heard of people putting them like 5 inch away but i have had mixed results like this , my plants don't seem to like it and also i imagine they are not getting full spectrum. i believe manufacture recommendation is 12-16" id go with that. and If im not mistaken the new reflector series runs 5w leds instead of 3 watt so more chance of weird things happening(led bleaching?).... anyhoo the unit takes up about 4.5" vert space with the plug. so you have about 25" left. I'm using it for veg only right now and my space is about 25" total, but i have flowered with it as well with good results. long as you keep em small you should be a happy camper! .. good for Sog.
