Hey. My micro-grow has had some marks appear on the leaves. Its not much, but i dont want it to keep happening. I am using a 125W red envirolite, and growing Lowryder #2 x white russian (Rasputin IBL).

The plant is 5 and a half inches away from the lamp.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Pictures in my gallery, cant figure out how to add to my post.

Soil is B&Q multi-purpose soil; will remember to use perlite for my next grow (too late to add now right?)

Water, sometimes I use bottled water (room temp), sometimes I use tap water (room temp).

Temperatures should not be too high, buying a thermometer tommorow and a pH tester. I have 2 120mm PC fans running in the case to keep temperatures down, and my 125W CFL (red spectrum) is hung 5 and a half inches above the plant matter.

yes it is just compost. Need to get some perlite for my next grow. Can i add it now, or is it too late?

So, if i change this to a pot with drainage holes it will be OK?

Heres a later pic from last night. It has since been repotted into a plant pot with drainage holes.

Still the same diagnose? Or is it something else?

let the pot dry out before the next watering. compost is pretty hot and full of nutrients. the combination of that and a pot with no drainage seems to have caused a lockout and nuteburn. dont use anything but plain water for a while, maybe even the whole grow. and monitor the leaves. crispy tips and dried leaves within a matter of hours is the salt leeching all th water our of the plant. if you let the soil get dry between waterings then water till it drips out the bottom you should be alright.

I have noticed that the compost heats up a lot, when i feel it it does feel warm. I have it on a light cycle of 18/6.

B&Q is a "garden compost" am I correct? Google didn't help much.

I read there is a difference between this and normal compost.

Can you post some really detailed info about your B&Q compost.

Ingredients, any N-P-K and mineral values. Maybe instructions.

A picture of the front and back of the bag would help if you can do it.

This is the compost:

I also have B&Q potting compost in my garage, is that better? its too late now though?

If I were you I would cut that with some light soil and perlite. You can have as big of drain hols as you want but if the water does drain through the dirt within 10 second of you watering than there is a problem. I would transplant into a lighter mix, water with only ph'd water and back up the light a few inches give it space to recoop. I wouldn't say it's too late but it'll back you up a week.
