Hey toke, how much do you think i would get total if i did flip em now? I was thinking about letting em grow out for about another 2 weeks... but i didnt realize they would double just in flowing.

Oh and were do you get your seeds from? Theres so many, but im looking for a reasonable priced fem northern lights for my next run.

Im a little paronoid about seeds..I have sourced some cuttings.

Hard to say what the yeild will be like.Maybe 2 ounces per plant?Safe bet maybe!

These plants really bounced back.Keep doing what your doing!!

Note: Decided to run one more week to do a flush of most of the nutes i just replied only 2 days ago. Im not entirely sure if i need to then flush out the grow nutes before i apply the new bloom nutes. Then will flip that switch to 12/12.

I also picked up some neem (sp?) oil, not because i noticed any damage or pests, but for an organic preventive maintenance. Spring is here in the mid west, and with that the humidity will rise.

marineman, sorry took me so long to reply.
first off, i never check ph anymore in my bio-bucket systems. i wouldn't worry about it. with the plants and nutes running in harmony, the proper feed levels, and good environment, everything should balance out fine. the longer you run bio-buckets, the more you will see how simple it can be. i use only Dyna-grow Bloom from start to finish. thats it. its a great product coupled with how efficiently bio-buckets help plants take in nutes. thats all i've found i needed.
as far as switching to bloom nutes, just begin adding bloom to your res. just leave the grow nutes in and start topping up with bloom to your desired strength.
a preventative neem program is good thinking. neem works great as a preventative, not as good after infestation occurs.
guessin on yield is difficult. i've had runs where i got anywhere from 2oz/plant all the way up to around 6. not too sure on my weights per plant. i don't weigh out individual plants, rather total of the crop. sometimes i don't weigh them at all. i'm not too concerned with quantity. i go for quality. i just assume somewhere around an oz per jar.
otherwise looking good, can't wait to see this run finish off nice for you.

No worries crave,

After the new info from you and toke, im going to switch to 12/12 tonight, i never realized how fast shit was gonna take off after getting the major factors correct. And if they double in size during flowering, theyre going to be huge! 2-3 Feet high. Im also a quality over quantity type of person, just was curious about what something the size of my girls COULD yield if done correctly. Im really exited to see this crop finish up strong!

I think i will try out your dyna grow nutes on the next go around, im still trying to find some original uncrossed Northern Lights feminized seeds, as that was my first ever experience with the GREAT MARY JANE! And i loved it, also been doing some research into finding the best pain strains, and have been told indica is the way to go. And now that were getting into spring, I want something i can smoke on the go, to get more of a mind than body buzz. Any input as to where i could get some of those seeds would be amazing.

Also i plan on using roughly 2 of the 6 plants to make some green dragon, still not 100% how that process works, but would like a concentrate for when its not feasible to light a Jay. My hand was crushed in an ammo door of a tank, a month after i get back from iraq unscathed. (cravin youve probably have heard of 29 palms! Or satans anus as i lovingly refer to it.) So theres alot of nerve and phantom pains that i think a concentrate would help alot with. Either of you guys have experience making it? I have had wax in the past, but i dont feel like blowing up the neighborhood like a meth shack to make it :)

Okay just wanted to post a few new pics now that were on the 12/12 schedule... Some massive growth just since my last post with pics, 5 or 6 days ago.

Note: When I flipped the switch to 12/12 i replaced the MH with my HPS

And this is something that has been bugging me... Ive been foliar feeding with just plain water since the beginning. Now is that something i need/should be stopping for flowering?

Oh and cravin, you were right about nutes levels... Had a small amount of nute burn on the middle back row lady... I think it'll be fine, but now I know my threshold, for this stage anyway. Gonna let the nutes drop down to 400 ppm or so before I start adding any bloom nutes.

Have any of you found you can keep raising nutes ppm the further along you go?
I did find out that white widow x big bud can be a little overly sensitive to nute level...

marine you might wanna screw the halide back in for the first 2-3 weeks to control the stretch during flowering.I actually flower with halides and hps..I may replace all my bulbs with the metal halide!!

hey bud- i make green dragon sometimes. i like it for just the reason you mentioned. Also,it helps a couple people i know with arthritis. both of them apply it topically (sp?) to the areas that are hurting them. they tell me it works quick. maybe that would help you and your ailment. oh ya, i know of 29 palms. satans anus made me laugh!! my method is pretty simple. i grind a few grams (usually about 4) of quality bud. then spread it out on some aluminum foil and bake it in the oven at 220*F for around 20 minutes or so. i ususally take it out when i see vapor coming off the material. this decarbs the material and makes it active. then heat it in a double boiler for about 30 minutes with about 1 1/2oz of everclear (in cali we can only get 151 proof) and a little bottle of either orange or lemon extract. i like the extracts for flavor. Lemon tastes great in most beers or sodas. after that i strain/filter it into my containers and then into the fridge.
i can't tell you whether or not you can raise nutes levels as flowering continues, never saw a need for it. all the strains i've dealt with, loved 500ppm/1.0ec. as far as foliar feeding water into flowering, stop. you can really get yourself a good case of mold developing inside the buds. if you want to raise humidity, try hanging a damp towel in your grow. but be careful raising humidity, mold can develop quick. then your screwed. i shoot for around 50% the entire run.
i've gotten alot of my seeds through the boo, (link on this site), never had a problem. and i recieved plenty of freebies from them too.
your plants are looking happy. don't over-love them too much and you'll be fine. looking forward to your harvest bro!!

toker posted while i was typing. excellent advice. when i'm dealing with new strains, i allow for 3x's the height in stretch. at least i try to. i'd rather have smaller plants with no burns than lots of burned buds.

Right now I'm running about 40% humidity and haven't had any mold, so I'm happy with that. Do HPS run hotter than MH, or am I just imagining it...

When you raise the ppm's with nutes it lowers the ph, beware of this. 1000 ppm's in my opinion is a waste. The plants will only use so much plus they need water also so don't saturate them with nutes. I run about 600-800ppm.

Ok, i got the lights switched back to the MH bulb. Heres a question, I do have two led panels with white, blue and red lights. Should i be using those again during flowering? Does it matter? I dont have two fixtures to run both mh and hps.

Hey a friend started telling me about snapping the stem to shock the plant to flower but never got further than that in the conversation, any know of or have heard this?

Few new pics...

Few new pics...

One of these pics is a little bit of nute burn on the middle back plant... got over zealous with the nutes, knocked em back down by diluting slightly. One is of the led panel i spoke of, and a few general ones.

Oh and one is just for laughs, we had a fucking blizzard yesterday... so i got creative...

hey bud, i have zero experience with led growing. but, like was said more light is usually good. however there is a point of diminishing returns. meaning the plants can only use so much, more than that is a waste. the enhanced spectrum the led gives can be a great benefit. i don't exactly know your level as a grower, but i feel you can better judge changes if they are done little by little or one change at atime. remember, there will be grows coming after this one. maybe go with what you got now, and then make a change or two next round. see what happens. i feel that is the only way to gauge how each change affected the plants. just my 2 cents.
pics look good. the last one of your dog cracked me up...
