Hey All,
Haven't posted in awhile. I watch the boards all the time.
I've been thinking lately on some stuff.
How similar is marijuana to caffeine?
Well, maybe just the sativa-type strains?
I got started thinking all this stuff when I didn't have weed in awhile. I mean...usually I would start my day with caffeine of some sort, for the stimulant action. And whenever I would feel a little low or just want to be sped up I would drink more tea...or have more tea "sessions".
That is what I do. I stay away from coffee, but drink tea, green mainly.
But I usually have these ritualistic sessions, where I brew it up, and just sit there with myself and the tea, and smell and drink it. I kinda make it a meditation, and by the end I'm feeling the stimulant effect nicely.
I just got to thinking...why do so many people hate on marijuana? Marijuana is a plant, just like the tea plant. The difference is, most people burn and inhale the particles, unlike the tea plant. But its still a plant. And it still has a lot of stimulant qualities to it.
I think its just certain strains that are like this.... like the one I've been smoking the last month or so. I find when I smoke this, that I get more energy to do stuff... workout, clean, take care of tasks around my place, errands...
How is this different than caffeine? I mean... if suddenly there was a parasite that infected all the tea and coffee plants, and there were no more of those traditional stimulants for the world market, then I think weed (at least the stimulant types) would become more popular...
Well, what do you all think? Have you ever thought about this? I guess sometimes I still have it ingrained in my mindset sometimes that weed isn't good to just have everyday, but... then I think... I have the tea plant everyday! And most people are doing caffeine multiple times a day... so couldn't you just smoke multiple times a day? Or am I comparing apples and oranges?
I mean... I've heard that certain groups of people would smoke the sativa marijuana before working in the fields, becuase it gives you more stamina and physical energy. How is this different from the Incas chewing on coca leaves? Or the asian people and their tea leaves... or the US with their coffee?
I mean... is it really possible...that all this stuff is the same?
