Mango Biche/ Ghana

Hi there,

Has anyone out there ever grown Cannabiogen's Mango Biche or Ghana strains?
They really sound very interesting, but with such a long flowering time
I wouldn't like to take the risk of growing weed that is good, but not worth the very long wait, which is 16-24 weeks for Mango Biche and
16-18 weeks for Ghana.
Of course I know Cannabiogen has a very good reputation and right now I'm growing Malawi from their sister company Ace seeds. They are
the best/most healthy plants I've ever grown.
Still it would be nice to have some first hand info.
greetings

I'm growing mangobiche, and it truly is a exotic tropical Sativa, (haven't sampled yet, just the way it looks/grows)

But be prepared to put in the time, and you will need to turn the timer to 11 hrs day / 13 dark and make sure there are no light leaks to flower properly. I didn't , and 4 months later they are barely beginning to show white pistils. It took over 2 months before a male showed sex. Just a little Patience...

But you will have a smoke that no one else has :)

Exactly: That's why I'm interested in them. On long term it would be nice to make a hybrid with such plants. It might be(come) an alternative to original haze, which contains a good deal of purple Colombian (perhaps Mango Biche), but nothing from Africa.
About the light leaks: I had some in my previous grow (haze 2) and they flowered and they finished on time, no hermie's, but they lacked potency.
It would be kind to keep me informed about the Mango Biche

I will post results in a few months.. Also 20% or so will herm. I had 5 and culled 1 due to that. 2 more got pulled as they were not as vigorous as the male and female I have left.

The male will probably meet a candy smelling Zamal x haze that leans to the Neville haze side, and a 501st og kush.

I would also recommend punta Roja. It is also a rarity but a little more forgiving. I base this on the panama x puntaroja I grew.

Mango Biche

Mango Biche

As I said a red rider in 1998 some phenotypes of Mango Biche that I felt were better than the best Punto Rojo! Long life for red rider and peace for Colombia

sounds like a must for sativa lovers!
Yet there are some others that really sounds interesting. For example a lot of the Ace seeds catalogue. Origin Organics seems to have also some interesting landraces, but I haven't read any reviews on them.
Another landrace that got me curious is Mekong Haze from Delta 9.

I'm just getting to the good stuff with some OaxacanXPuntoRojo Charlie sent me and they're at 12 weeks on 10/14.
I'm just smoking the quick dried lower branches now and loving them, such flavors and highs I have not felt since the 70's. Not much of a harvest under 400w but every little pinner is fantastic so it's worth it to me.
I live in Humboldt and smoking Kush all day wears me out, good for night time only this stuff is all day all night.
You will not be disappointed with CBG's Colombians or anything else they serve up IME.

I've got the MB but with a flowering time of 24 weeks I don't know when I will be able to get to them. I grow a few plants like that each each strictly for head stash. I've got a pure thai I just thru into flower the other day, looking to be able to smoke it by end of November/Christmas time lol.

i've been smoking ghana fan leaves lately and am really pleased. very nice. ghana growers should briefly lose their ego and beta test ghana fan leaves at least once. powerful, enjoyable smoke.

really ... are you just getting high from the carbon going into your lungs? is the smoke harsh from the concentrated levels of nitrogen?
not much thc on fan leaves.... i myself like to wait for the finished product

Of course buds are better, but with many pure sativa the leaves can be surprisingly effective, especially bud leaves, this is why traditional farmers barely trim their buds.

I remember smoking a lot of leaves when I was young.
A lot of the time when we first started growing Colombian and Mexican and Thai we would wonder when they would flower. Some never before Winter would come and the plants would go down hill in vigor and slowly rot away. We would be smoking leaves and terminal buds only, we would get really high, I mean really high. There would still be no trichomes on the plants that were visible. The smoke was very strong. If it was not over fertilized it would taste pretty good.
I still smoke terminal buds off my males to determine their potency.
