How's it going my friends. This is yet another bud from a great friend. Here goes the report.

Look- I Like the looks of these buds. A little fluffy, with an almost pink hue to the bud. Nice colors from the pistils and the calyx's. Has smaller trichomes on it bud lots of them!

Smell- This is a very pungent herb. I love the smell! If I had to describe this perfectly for me, it would smell like a minty clorox bleach. Very strong smell definitely the the household cleaner department.

Taste- It has a nice spicy berry taste to it. I really like the spicy factor in the taste and haven't really experienced that in herb before. It also has a great flush which adds to the clean toke.

High- A definite sativa high. Very motivating. It's a great smoke to get up and go to work on or do anything really. Potent but motivating at the same time so you not locked on the couch. Some great smoke!

Nice report on the Satori jbar. Minty clorox. It does have an astringent aspect to it and I like the minty thing. Very good day time strain. Can see why it's a Mandala favorite.
SmokeyPufmaster, you really owe it to yourself to give Mandala a dedicated run. I've grown out 3 of their strains and I swear this is some of the best marijuana I've ever grown. Unique smells and tastes. If you look up the descriptions on their site of what and where they get their genetics from you can almost taste that old school flavor in em. And for the price you couldn't go wrong if you had to. I would advise everyone to give em a go and see what you've been missing.

The Satori's have been curing for 5-6 weeks now. Wanted to let it have a bit of time to develop. Here's my take on the girls.

Apperance
Dark and light green with rust colored hairs. Lots of resin on the buds. Buds do have a pinkish colored hue to them when held up to light for examination.

Smell
Opening the jars you are greeted with an astringent type smell that has been there sense the bloom process. When breaking the sample bud apart I'm getting the destinct smell of lemon cleaner and a faint spice smell. Very nice.

Taste
The cleaner is carried over into the smoke. Pleasant taste on the inhale and a sweetness on the exhale that lingers. Does have a nice bit of expansion in the lungs as well.

High-Effects
Noticed a head buzz coming on after a few minutes. Nice and clear. What I really liked was the calming effect which came over the shoulders on down to my lower back. Just felt like a wave.
After about 15 minutes I had a very nice buzz going on and noticed the muscles in my back had relaxed quite abit. However, the nerve pain was unaffected. Not really alot anything can do for nerve pain. The high did provide a clear head with just a little paranoia at the beginning, some muscle relaxant properties, and some motivational factors as well. Did notice that on the way down the nerve pain seemed to become more aggitated and was more likely the muscles tightening back up. I get the same effect with most sativas. The duration of the high was about 2.5 hours. Very nice overall high. I did really enjoy it. Excellent daytime herbs for sure. Also good for kicking depression.

Overall opinion
Excellent daytime herb. Great smell and flavor. Very nice high.(high but very functional). Very nice Sativa buzz.
This was a very easy plant to grow. Next time I will take it easier on the nutes as well. Very effecient plant for a stealth grow as it's a lower profile plant. Not a lot of stretch to it and good yields of resin coated buds. Highly recommended for a run through the garden.

I've grown out 2 Satori females and one SpeedQueen from Mandala and I really didn't like the high from the cured Satori. For some reason both Satori plants when smoked would give me a hugh headach and like a body sorness. I am sure its just how that strain affects me. The SpeedQueen on the other hand has the best high for me (so far only one I like better is snowcap), it seems to relax while stimulating. I won't grow any more Satori but I have a whole new crop of SpeedQueens comming up.
Peace from Colombia

This must be the explanation, because it's the first report since the strain was introduced over two years ago of someone getting such unpleasant symptoms. Are you taking medication or suffering from any illness?
I am very familiar with the effects of Satori. This sativa is valued for her clarity, mind-expansion, and no "hangovers" when coming down. I'm sorry to hear that you had such an extreme physical reaction and can assure you and everyone else that this not at all typical for Satori.
Good luck with your next Speed Queen crop and thank you for your feedback!

Hi all.Waiting for 2 packages of that wonderfull sativa whit parentage from Nepal. Satori it is ... As a mostly Sativa's grower i expect real treat from that one . I have grown Sadhu and Hashberry . I like the Sadhu a lot less for the Hashberry but ad only one plant and wasen,t a great pheno from other grow i see . The sadhu on the other end was very pleasant strong indica . I ad a second run going (clones) which means i like it pretty much . I'll pop more Hashberry seeds later to get a definite opinion . Thank you for that great thread ...Peace . Rodia :joint:

P.S I'm growing only indoors so in heat of summer no plants resist to rough env. like Mandala's Seeds . And by far the most reliable sources of strains for summer heat . With all the years of grow i have behind i can compare to lots of strains . Indoor grow in summer all Mandala's since last year ..R !

I got to be honest with you Mike, the Satori is no doubt strong but the high seemed to make me feel every ach in my body (I am in perfect health) and the come down would always produce a headache. Now I will say that if I smoked the Satori in the morning first thing I would get a nice buzz from it without a bad "come down" but another couple hits later would produce the same bad effect. I grew out 5 Satori seeds (a freebie with my SpeedQueen order) got 3 males and two females, one growing much larger then the other although both small compact Sativa. The bigger one of the two Satori was the first to finish with the smaller one finishing a few weeks later. Both plants affected me the same way and as I said before I am in perfect health don’t take any prescription drugs (or any other drugs for that matter). All I can say is the Satori is not for me. SpeedQueen on the other hand will be in my garden for a long time.
Peace from Colombia
