Mandala Seeds compared to top cannabis cup strains?

Hello all :joint: ,

If any of you have grown and/or smoked Mandala strains like Hashberry, Sadhu, or Satori could you please comment on this

How do they compare to famous cannabis cup strains, and other well known strains?

Like White Widow, Kush, Sensi Star, and other well known strains.

Obviously they won't have the name appeal but would the mandala strain be just as good? As in potency, smell, taste, calyx-to-leaf, and bag appeal?

High Times named Hashberry in the top 10 strains of the year, but im just curious as to what the oppinion of all of you is :)

thanks  - www.mandalaseeds.com

I'm a few days away from puttting my fourth run of Hashberry into 12/12 and I'll say that if you give a little extra time in veg with lst and watch the nutes(take it easy and read the plant) it will produce nice head buds. I tried it with SOG and was less impressed than outcomes with lst. At a two month cure, the buds (undisturbed) have an earthy, leathery smell. However, breaking the bud up reveals a pungent musky citrus funk. The high is functional at first, but always finishes up with sleepy eyes. I have my first(seed) run of Satori ready to cut within the week and another run of clones about a month behind them. So far, the Satori buds look a little airy, but I'll see if a few more days will put a little meat on those bones. The smell of Satori in flower is a minty clorox... but the odor is low if plants are not disturbed.
Mandala has an affordable line of solid genetics and I've had no problem running their gear.

I apologize, I got carried away and forgot to answer your question. How does Hasberry compare to the 'super weeds'. Well, if you are lookin' to get blind on one bong hit, then keep on lookin'. This is a good-old-fashioned, laid-back kinda buzz... from one bong hit. It hits the spot for me, but I'm just an old fart anyway.

I grew Mandala's Safari and It is a very excellent, top notch extremely potent, wonderful amazing smoke.
It was an easy plant to grow, flowered quickly and came to term within the specified time.
The prices are excellent. Most breeders charge exhorbitant prices and Mandalla's are affordable for often better strains then those selling at $60 plus.

Yeah I hear ya Hand,

I've smoked homegrown G13 before and it took me a couple hits to really start feeling it so I am sure I will like Mandalas. And to be totally honest, Im not looking for something that will floor my ass after a bowl... I'd rather be able to smoke a joint and still function ya know? But i still want it potent :)

Nice nice, have you had a chance to smoke any strains that are very well known? How do they compare to the mandala strains you've had?

ezbake I just finished a Sadhu grow and have a thread on it. I think the Mandala strains compare very well to other top strains. One key, as always, is the grow technic, lighting, soils etc. Even a proven winning strain can be comprimised by a poor grow...here is Sadhu, Dr. Duck.

Inexpensive seeds does not mean cheap seeds.

Price of seeds is not a determining factor in overall quality of genes.
Plenty of bullshit for sale in the $100.00+ range, while you would be better off with Nirvana. Mandala, or some Skunk No.1... best of the best imo.

Skunk No.1 can't be beat.. :)

doobieduck i took a look at yours very nice,
i know they arent bad quality i just wondered how they compared to things that have won the cannabis cup like sensi star etc

and i agree there is a lot of bullshit seeds for way too much money

i heard nirvana is actually low quality and ive read threads where people get sativa plants on a pure indica lol... i dunno just dont feel like having to go thru the trouble w/ nirvana

but mandala seems promising.. and i love their strains... i just want to know what to expect

I've heard only good things about Mandala's genetics so far. Never grown 'em myself though.
