WICHITA, Kan. - A Wichita man called 911 to report he was the victim of an armed robbery. The theft? A pound of marijuana worth about $1,100 that he had been trying to sell at his home.

The victim told police Thursday that a buyer had pulled out a sawed-off shotgun and stole the drugs.

Police brought in a drug-sniffing dog to the house and located more marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The victim was booked into Sedgwick County jail on several charges, including possession with the intent to sell drug.

The thief has not been found.

and back on topic, i don't think any of us in favor of legalization should say he deserved it. None of us deserve prison over this plant. Maybe he deserved to get his ass kicked for being an idiot or something like that, but he didn't deserve prison for it. If cannabis was legalized, wouldn't it be great that we COULD actually call the cops when someone threatened to kill us for mone or a plant, and then the cops would actually go after the guy with the gun who posed the REAL threat to society?

Yeah I remember hearing something about this a little while ago.

There was also an episode of cops were two women were fighting and after a little while one says it was over some stolen crack....ahh brilliant people these days. Need to learn when to keep the mouth shut.

However, some people do know little about law enforcement and do think that the cops would rather pursue the robber instead of the pot head. I wonder what he thought the cops would do if they busted the guy? Give the weed back?!

Your second sentence is despicable to me though. I was just thinking about this when I woke up today. You will definitely stay budless with that mentality. Shame on you, no one, and I mean no one should have to pay with jailtime for growing this herb. Shame shame shame....

Thats a terrible thing.

Just because he is doing something illegal , does not mean that he can be the a victim of theft and mugging and abuse.

I was reading a thread here where someonw in San Francisco was held up and robbed of his weed when he went to sell it at a medical dispensary. In fact there are 2 such threads from 2 different people. They were beaten up and 1 suffers from concussion and what ever and the fact is that they were almost killed.

These thieves make a much better deal by robbing weed sellers. They dont get turned in. The sellers are afraid to report the theft and its much easier to rob a weed seller then to hold up a bank.
