Whose malawi are you growing? Are you growing indoors or out? If you're growing outdoors what kind of environment are you working wiht? By far the best malawi for indoors is the afropips (haven't seen much about skunkman's his could be good inside also) because it has lower light requirements. The greenthumb and african seed company versions as well as most seeds coming direct from malawi regardless of the grade have very high light requirements and will only produce a nest of thin stems and leaves with few calyxes and resin in all but the highest light requirements. If you do have an afropips or skunkman malawi and wish to grow them indoors I recommend growing from cuttings since the plants need a little bit of vegetative maturity before they can produce fully potent flowers.

cheers for the reply, i plan on growing them indoors under a 400w in soil,my grow space is 1mx1mx2m.
i was given the seeds as a freebie so i dont think they are afropips, i was planning on trying to turn one into a bonsai mum and take cuttings,
ive heard they can grow pretty big, are they fussy with nutes or enviromental conditions?
ive got a 200w enviro tucked away somewhere think i'll get that in there too.
have you done a grow of this before? any grow diarys or tips would be appreciated,
cheers, bhuda master

Do you mean Seedsman rather than Skunkman Zamalito? Seedsman was supplied by African Seeds.

The nutrient requirements will be lower than for indicas and hybrids. The plants may want more nitrogen than you expect during the long flowering period. Temperature should not be a problem; some of mine have grown happily next to hybrids that died because of the heat. The threat of mould also can probably be ignored.

For a sativa this should not be a particularly difficult grow. Good luck.

cheers guys, ive germed the beans and got them planted in small pots, at two weeks old they are moving quicker than any thing else ive seen, going to try and lst them to keep em short, the high temp resistance is gonna be cool, ive just managed to cook the tops of my current grow with a high temp and low lamp! doh. so hopefully the malawis are gonna come through totake my wounded ladies place.

thanks for the replys,
bhudamaster.
