Malawi breeders'pack, Peyote Haze and more stuff

Here we go

Was thinking of buying a Malawi Breeders Pack since they were out, and finally got the opportunity. Not much happening right now, popped the seeds 10 days ago and just transplanted them in 2 liter pots. On the 10th april Im out of the country for 2 weeks so Ill transplant them in 20 liter pots just before and will switch to flowering when Im returning home. Might also take some clones and let them recover until 1st may before switching to 12/12.

Lights are 2 Hans panels, the 150w ones. A second tent will be set up, so each of it can take 9 plants.

Nutrients are the full Aptus line. Unfortunately my tapwater has already an EC of 600, so the final product goes as high as 1200. Have to find a solution... any advices are welcome because I think it might be way too much for these girls!

And here is a crossing between a Purple Haze Malawi and a male Peyote Purple crossed again with a Peyote Purple male. 3 plants. Very hazy phenos as you can see. Decided to call it peyote Haze.

Vlad I'm running heavy 16 for base nutes + Aptus additives and I couldn't be happier. Until Midsummer last year I was running heavy 16 nutrients plus additives without any aptus. But I switched the additives over to aptus and shortly after some of my clones were the frostiest they've ever been and that is all I can attribute it to is the aptus. What are you using for base nutrients? I use city water and the EC is reasonable. but in all honesty I just follow the instructions for my nutes and I haven't even use the EC setting on my bluelab meter in as long as I can remember.

Im also using the Aptus additives for a couple of years now and Im very pleased with it. In the beginning my base nutes were the CannaBio line, but we had very strict regulations in Belgium and many of the products available have been banned, except Plagron, Aptus and a couple others, so I used Plagron until now and just switched to Aptus All in One liquid as base nutes. I also use the "pro" feeding schedule, not the basic one.

So far the hazes have been fed twice, once it was all additives, some days later just the nutes. This time I decided to try both at once but it looks like there's some clawing, so I guess its too much. I might try my chance with rainwater if I can collect enough of it, that might help.

Hi Vladimiroslav,I'm getting a seat, too!Curious about the effect of the peyote haze...
If you can get a cheap dehydrator, the water it collects is almost 0 EC ,don't know if you can collect that much water though for so many plants...Or if you have a use for the dehydrator.Just a thought.
Good luck!

I've never heard of the aptus all in one.they definitely don't sell that at my store. I'll have to research it more later I'm not even sure they sell it in the US. It's amazing you have so few choices for nutrients over there. I couldn't even count the number that are available here.

I'm not an expert on nutrition. frankly I just follow the instructions. But I believe the clawing is from to much N. Maybe other stuff can do that too. I don't know. I know there's nitrogen in the mass boost and I'm sure in your all in one. It would make sense that is caused by an excess of nitrogen because a lot of sativas are really sensitive to that and want low levels. I would have thought with your plants being 3/4 peyote purple that they would be easier to grow

Well, we had everything available for a good time, then around 2015 growshops were raided by an organisation similar to your FDA wich decided to ban all sort of products, apparently for incorrect labelings. Some products could stay on the shelves, many were taken off. As France isnt that far from here, I might give a try there, but I just dont want to be controlled with a bunch of nutes in my car. Lets keep low profile.

And not too sure why its clawing exactly, because the plants didnt have any N since they've grown. The media I use is Plagron Light mix, wich is the less fertilized. Except for some Start Booster and CalMg, they didnt had anything else. Well, except for the 2 feedings in the last 2 weeks. No veg nutes at all though.

I also thought the PP side would make them hungrier or less sensitive to nutrients but then it might be my fault again: the seeds I popped are coming from a F1 very similar to the original PHM mother. Maybe I should try with another pheno that I dusted, the more rubbery one. I still have a couple of beans from the first cross so I'll get into it this season to see if theres something with more variety.

If you have the money get an RO filter & cut your tap water. 3 parts RO to 1 part Tap will yield a starting PPM of 150.
Rain water, Dehumidifier water, Distilled water, almost any 0 PPM water will work to cut your Tap water with.

Hi vladimiroslav,

Thanks for starting a new diary with our genetics! I'm glad you had the chance to get Malawi Breeders Pack you were looking for. Wish you find great Malawi parental plants from the different lines.

The (Purple Haze Malawi x Peyote Purple) x Peyote Purple cross sounds very interesting!
It's incredible how dominant the Purple Haze genetics are, it looks like a straight Oldtimer's Haze even after being crossed twice with an indica!
