making own AF seeds

I am wondering when doing a seed run how long do I need to wait after harvest to plant the seeds.

I had 3 Lr#1 seeds. 2 were male 1 female.

Took the best male to pollinate the female.

I am harvesting in a day or two. I am wondering how long after harvesting can I plant the seeds to get the next run going.

some people say you should let them sit for a few weeks so they get dry (i made this experience too) ... but i guess you could just plant them right away!

id suggest letting the seeds dry out and harden for a few days. perhaps put them in the fridge overnihgt before planting

I think I will take some and wait a week, and the rest wait 2 weeks.

It looks like I am going to have about 50 or so seeds.

yea generally you need to wait at least two weeks to make sure the seed is totally dry and hardned. must stop one cycle of life before starting it over on another.

Mature seeds will literally fall out of the seed pod. You can plant them immediately.

Well when I harvested about 1/3 of the seeds were popping out of the seed pod.

I decided to let them sit in a jar open for 2 weeks. Then I am going to try to germ them all.

My cab is full of Super Silver Haze plants now.

If I get a good number of LR#1 seeds germ I'll have to build another cab.

i did that because my seeds looked unripe, now have 75 plants and had to put my germing tray somewhere cooler to stop more seed popping! reckon i should be sorted for smoke up until xmas at this rate!

im getting tired of this site. all these posters just make it up as they go, and pretend they are king shit.....

there is no reason to wait. letting them dry out is not only unnecessary, but it makes it even harder for them to germinate.

i get 100% germ rates direct from the wet green moms. it only goes down from there.

hahah, then leave bro...i've heard from many respectable breeders that you should let them dry out a bit before you plant em...i've been doin this technique for a while now and my germ rates are very high....you won't be missed....

I kept my largest male next to two of my best girls for about 3 days, do u think that at the onset of flowering was enough to insure me some seeds?

I let them dry for about 2 weeks.

24 hours into the wet paper towel in the ziplock and about 50% already have germed.

Hopefully more will germ in the day or two.

I let my last seed run go a bit long and I now have 10 accidental seedlings, not that I am complaining.
