Hi - I am lactose intolerant. Butter in particular. So I have decided to try and make with coconut oil instead. A bit more expensive than butter perhaps but it does behave similarly.
Are there any adjustments to ratios I should be making? I was thinking around 500ml of coconut oil should be enough. The main problem I want to avoid is the oil becoming over saturated.
I have about 100g of trim from mid flower to HQ bud discard.
I was thinking about simmering the whole mixture in coconut oil for a long period. Say a couple of hours at least then strain the mix using a sieve and a flour sifter into a bowl then into the fridge to set for later use.
Also I was planning on doing this AFTER I've used the same trim to make ice hash (Gumby method).
What y'all think?
