Making average weed into better weed....

Has anyone had success in growing a strain that is average (think average commercial strain such as Critical +) and through good growing techniques and feeding have it turn out to be something that rivals some of the connoisseur strains?

nope. genetics don't work that way. Unless you were growing a good variety from the beginning and just used better growing skill to get it to full potential.

You can't fix boring genetics.

I've run a few cash croppers to perfection, looked great but you just can't help a boring high.

To me lots of strains have great bag appeal, yield etc...it's the quality of the high that sets some way above the rest.

Yeah, hard to get rid of a boring high. But you can make hash out of boring weed and at least have something that packs a more decent punch. Works well with indicas.

But mainly nah ... 'dem genetics.

My first two years I ran the same strains over and over again. When changing things up, like soil or nute brands, etc, you will find a lot of variation in the end product.

I've had good strains turn into boring strains, but never vice versa.

I ran m39 that everyone loved. We grew so much of it that the people around me think its the best.
