Yup - you can tie it down to the pots themselves... or you can simply bend the branch over and tie the top to the bottom, if the plant is pliable enough. Let it in that position for a week or more and the stem will stay that way after you remove the tiedowns. Basically, when you take the top of a plant below the other growing tips, the plant decides that it must make a new top, so all of the growth that was originally below the top you tied down will form the new canopy. I try to get them to be even. So when you see the lower shoots and the original top become even - that is where you want to be.
You can continue this process with the "new" tops as well.
thanks for all the advice. i really need to gget my hands on a dig. camera my bb/nl is really starting to look bad. i think it got scorched, but is it possible one strain will scorch and another won't at the same height?! also, topping?! where and can i use that as a clone too? the others are doing great i have co2 in there for them now i just started it a few days ago i am at 1300ppm thats not too much too soon is it?
