Went down and chopped a couple of lower buds to see how they were progressing. Dug these mature ones out. Still a lot of immature ones. I'll let 'em go two more weeks.
This is an organic grow, btw. Nothing but Earth Juice Grow and EJ Bloom.
Thanks gal. It's almost time. I'm trying to germ some now. I know they're green but I'm hoping to get a few going.
Might get over there again one day. Back in my navy days I visited Genoa, Civitveccea (sp? lol), Crotone, Naples, Finale Ligura (sp?) among others...........had a blast. Beautiful country.
Yes, this country is really beautiful...and the people are pretty laid back, it's the Latin heritage . You and the Mrs. are welcome whenever Elvis....I bet we'd have a blast!
i tried to cross two of my better seeds not sure the strain but they came from some killer bagseed my seeds. well 2 of them came out ok but the other about 30 seeds were majorly immature i think but the buds were almost overmature whats the reason for this. The seeds were filled with liquid out of 30 or so seeds only 2 were mature how do you judge the seeds done time and if they arent done by the time the buds are is there something you can do to mature them once theyve been removed from finised bud pleas help i would like to be able to cross and save seeds from my favorite grows
Elvis LOL ...looks like the carnival came to town and settled in your growroom... pretty carnival bud .
smotpoker, your plant probably was pollinated already late in flower...according to many the best time frame for pollination is more or less one month after you begin 12/12. When the seeds are mature you'll see the bracts swollen and starting to split. Most plants when pollinated one month into flower by the time they finish will be loaded with mature seeds. You should then put them in the fridge for a couple of weeks at least before planting them, to increase germ rate. Fresh seeds do not germ well at all.
What xxbluevelvetxx said. Let me add that using organic nutes seems to make the beans fatter. I'm not an expert on this, but I'm thinking that translates into a better germ rate and a healthier start.
Speaking of germ rates. No luck on the 5 "green" ones I tried. I'll test them properly in a month or so.
Time is of the essence so I have to get something else going. Hmmmmm........think I'll go with a load of Hindu Kush X Black Domina........yeah, that's the ticket.
