Mainline/manifold?

I would appreciate some advice on whether to trim the "extra" colas on my manifold attempt. I have managed to get the 8 colas that I wanted, but there are also "new" ones forming that I need to decide when to remove. I can wait until a few days before flip (still a week or so away) or clean them up now so the plant(s) focus on the 8 colas that I want to keep? Any suggestions/advice? I really want to limit these plants to only 8 colas.

Please ignore the black spots on my stems....I was spreading out the coco before adding the watering halo and got some coco on them.
Thanks

Personally I get rid of the extras as manifolding distributes the nourishment uniformly. The extras = unwanted suckers :tiphat:
