Hi guys, sorry if this is a dumb question but is the there a percentage of magnitude for viewing trichome?
I have just went out and got a microscope that has an 150x,,300x and 400 x magnitude.
Is this actual;y too much?, because quite frankly i cant see shit.
Anyway my question is, should the ideal tool be under 100x magnitude?, or am i just an idiot?

got a 60x-100x cheap mini microscope from radio shack that works perfectly
www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2179604
yours sounds like a super magnifier :yoinks: would love to spy some trichs way up close
try to be patient and dial in that focus, surely it'll be a fabulous sight :canabis: and sooo worth your efforts, cheers :smoke:

yeah that's the best bang for the buck. it's the same thing as the '420 scope' retailers try to sell for $20 but it's like $7 at radio shack.

funny true story.. idiot checking me out at radio shack made the mistake of saying "oh cool a pocket microscope, what are you going to use it for?" ... "Well..." I said, "my grandmother has crabs and needs me to see how bad things are." :yoinks:

Thanks for the reply guys, I live in the UK and had looked everywhere for something with the right amount of magnification, but could not find any so i just went ahead and got the microscope.
with some practice i can manage to line it up so i can get 1 or 2 trichs in view, still hard to tell if they are cloudy or clear but i am sure i will be able to distinguish as they turn amber.
