Magical Wardrobe 2015

Hello everybody, and welcome to my new grow. As the title says, I have a wardrobe that I have prepared to house my plants.

Here is the picture of the electrical equipment. My grow light is a ProGrow 260 led with double spectrum. Two controllable pc fans for airflow.

One pc fan for exhaustion with a carbon box to shield the light and as a base for a carbon filter when this will be needed later.

The dimensions are 90 cm, 45 cm and 180cm. So there is 4,5 square feet of space, and maybe 50 cm of space in height for the light to be raised further on. From the top:

I will be growing organically, my soil mix will have peat moss, perlite, vermiculite, compost, ewc and some other amendments. I plan to prepare my aeriated compost teas, foliar sprays and fermented extracts throughout the grow.

For the genetics, yesterday I have thrown into the water my remaining DJ Short seeds and some of my own seeds. 4 Vanilluna, 4 Flo, 5 Floral Vita (FloxVitality) and 5 Vitaoni (VitalityxKumaoni).

And here they are already between the sheets of paper towels, hopefully kicking out their tap roots asap. The temps are 20-21 degrees Celsium, the light is in the veg mode only.

All in all, I am very happy I am growing again and cannot wait what comes out from these seeds. Thanks for watching, I will update soon, bye

Quick update

Quick update

Hello all, today I went to harvest some seaweed and nettles for some topdressing later on. The seeds take very long to sprout, until now only one Flo has the tap root out, so I have put to germinate some more Floral Vita seeds as well as 3 Vitality seeds and 6 Vitality F2, my own cross from Vitality parents few years back. It seems to me strange that they do not want to sprout, even the moon cycle was supposed to help them as the full moon was just few days back, the temperatures are constant 22-23 degrees C and the paper towels are kept moist all the time... Well, I will continue to pray to the Green Goddess for their eventually successful germination, hope all of you have great success with your own gardens and next time I wish to have some photos of new cotyledons to show. Have a great day :tiphat:

Here we go, hopefully

Here we go, hopefully

Hello everybody, my troubles with germinating continued, so I decided to skip the towel method and filled my smart pots with my soil mix and planted the seeds directly in. My living mulch as well, some chives, lavender, calea, rapini, alfalfa, nicotinae rustica and few others. Something is already sprouting:

When I get a sighting of a cannabis coming through, I will post again, have a great time:tiphat:

Hello all, unfortunately, none of my cannabis seeds sprouted:( So I have stopped trying to germinate others, because over the summer I will be away for a long time and they would not be able to finish soon enough. I am keeping the other herbs and veggies in the wardrobe to further test its usefulness and prepare for the next round in September. I will surely order some new seeds and hopefully have more luck next time. Wish you all great summer and I will revive it here then.

Hi Jenery,
next time you might give sponge pots a shot for germinating. I used to grm in paper towels (my first two grows) and had moderate results.
Once I broke down and purchased sponge pots I've had 100% germination every time.
You can get then for about $15 US for a twenty count tray.
They usually come with a beneficial microbe mix to add to first watering. Works wonders.
Good luck when you return to the wardrobe.
I like the way everything hangs like it flew there.
Ciao

i used too use paper towels , but imo its a daft way to germ , for one the towel can dry out fast.. for 2 you have to transplant them when they do sprout ... and for 3 the substrate method (straight in the pot) gives them a more even ambient temperature

You have some nice strains there , i have often thought about Tikal myself , so heres watching this thread:biggrin::dance013:

Ukhrul ... thats an interesting strain , I have grown Burmese in the past , and it was without doubt the most distinct aroma/ taste of any strain i have come accross , Ukhrul is close to Burma , so perhaps it will be similar , if its anything like the Burmese , you will get HUGE fan-leaves , not a great deal of yeild , but tight buds

Thanks, skyspider, when i rub the stem of the Ukhrul, the scent is very powerful, more herbal than the citrusy Kumaoni and not as sweet as the strawberry Tikal. Hopefully it is gonna be a girl...

44 Days

44 Days

Hello all fellow canna enthusiasts, sorry for the lack of updates, but life was pretty hectic the last few weeks. I had an emergency situation as well and the plants were in constant darkness for four days (and started to have white tops), fortunately they recovered swiftly and were topped/fimmed and now they are striving again. All five pictures are from today, I am planning to do some tying and more topping and fimming soon and hopefully I can check for their sex and determine which ones are girls and put them in their final pots. Well, here they are, top view:

smallest Tikal 3

Ukhrul in the middle, Kumaoni the biggest plant to the right

undergrowth

Thanks for watching, good night everyone
