Made Canola Oil?Now What lol

Ok,i just finished making canola oil,but have some questions,iv never cooked or made butter or anything,so im looking to experience edibles,i used a small bottle of canola oil,and some,fan leaves,and SOME good trim,

is the canola oil supposed to be BLACK like burnt oil?

i put the whole bottle of the oil,but i only got like less than HALF the bottle back,is that normal?

what can i cook with the oil,do i HAVE to bake?,can i make rice,saute veggies with it?

last question,i usually bake from scratch followoing recipes i get online,iv made chocolatechip cookies,muffins,banana bread,,but i dont want to bake it from scratch,so if i buy the premade cookie dough,what ELSE is needed?like can i just add the canola oil and :biggrin:bake?

sautee works fine u taste the oil n plant terpenes more, dont over cook or u loose that
buncha ur oil still absorbed in plant matter prolly, did u use water w it when extracting? ime h2o helps saturate plant matter so more oils are retrieved in the end, ei u get 3/4 back not half... or so

duno what to say bout ur color

best way is trim+butter+water all the chlorophyll goes into the water and all the good stuff goes into the butter.If your weed wasnt brown when you started then it shouldnt be at the end ime.

the recipe i followed did not mention water,and it kinda makes sense,i mean water and oil dont exactly do well together,i understand for butter,but not oil.and idk,i used crappy trim,

so i CAN saute with it?can i cook a pancake with it,maybe a tablespoon of oil?
whats the best way to get the buzz from it?

use the oil as you would any other cooking oil, keeping in mind that x amount of oil equals y amount of trim.

dont be frying in it but other than that just cook whatever food you want w the oil or you could use it as the oil component of a dressing to eat it 'raw'.

its normal to experience loss of oil in an extraction... squeezing the material as well as washing it with water helps recover more oil.

if the oil is potent enough you could make pills with some capsules.. then you dont have to eat anything persay so much as just take homemade cannacaps.

interesting . i will be working with some oil soon . i wanna make salad dressings with it. a nice italian should cover the taste. mmmm salad

of course. i got a nice bottle of artisan reserve extra virgin oil with a peppery taste from italy. just waiting to go. yup i love salads . sometimes i man them up with hard boiled eggs cheese and luchmeat. other times all veggies. mostly from my own garden. i make a hell of a salad with lots of different veggies.

what recipe did u use that didnt call for water????? check the sticky threads at top of cooking w cannabis, use those recipes, trust me (us)

best way to get a buzz is take a teaspoon, eat raw like salad dressing, or straight, or dissolved in a smoothie
pancakes will work

i found it in another forum lol,it just said empty oil into pot,add weed,then stir and simmer for 2 hours,which i did,

i aint gonna mess with water. i am gonna watercure some stuff first and then add it right to oil and simmer in double boiler for a while and then strain. i have started doing this with butter too. i think it comes out better tasting.
