mad drooping

alright well i checked my plant this morning round 7 am and it was doing great. I come back around 10:30 am and it is drooping very bad. What would cause it to suddenly do that shit. I am very angry and do not want to lose it. I will get pics later

Hello, when was the last time you watered it?

Drooping is a common sign of under/over watered plants. need a little more info please.

i water every day, about two beer cups of water
the plant is fairly big i'd say. i dont use any ferts either
maybe my mom did something to it. That bitch

That is about a quart, a fraction of what your plant needs on a hot day.

You are well past the stage where you have to be concerned with over watering. From now on, they will use all the water you can give them.

A plant that size can use a couple gallons per day when it is hot.

No worries about fertilizer, the soil is providing all it needs, the deep green colour come from abundant Nitrogen.

just out of curiousity, how big is the pot you're using? how many quarts or gallons does it hold? definitely sounds like you need to at least triple the amount of water you're giving em. I like to give mine LOTS of water (like 7-8 beer cups worth) and then let 'em dry out for a week. this is especially important for indicas imo.

Water stress is a sure sign that your plant is probably rootbound. 5 gallon buckets with holes in the bottom work well. You can get a new one at walmart for about $4.

If you dont transplant it you are going to kill it. There is nothing there now but a gob of root. You cant hurt it. Get a 5 gallon pail and fill it half full of good soil. Lift the plant out of the pot it is in and set it in the new one and fill in around it.
Your girl is dying of thirst right now and is rootbound.

I disagree. just because a plant is rootbound doesn't mean it NEEDS to be transplanted. You might have to water it a little more though. I've always been taught to just water it until water comes out of the bottom of the pot.

repotting will likely double your yield from this plant. in that 2 gallon container give it about a 2 liter soda bottle of water a week. water once and leave her be. until she is thirsty again.

My compliments on keeping this topic focused, lets talk about roots. :D

The best examples of roots are seen in hydroponic growing, the plant will have as much or more root volume as the aerial structures. The roots will easily fill a 5 gallon pail and produce a substantial yield of dense bud.

When we work with soil, we get the same root development but only a limited amount of space for the roots to fill. Once the roots have filled the volume, they die back and new root attempts to fill the space.

I have seen nice sized plants grown in small containers, it can be done if you pay enough attention to your watering schedule and technique. Unfortunately, there is little room for error, if the plant wilts it stops growing for a while. Serious wilting can set it back a full day.

A larger planter gives you more root volume and a better uptake of moisture and nutes.

I prefer to transplant as the plant gets bigger. I start with a 4" planter, up to 6", 8" and finally 12" or a 5 gallon grow bag.

Transplanting is not difficult if your using nursery planters with sloping sides, the root ball drops out easily and fits neatly into the next larger size.

After you transplant, you should see an explosion of new growth after a few days...definitely something you should consider. If you're really bent on keeping 'em in a 2 gallon pot, make sure you give em plenty of water.
