:tiphat:Ola IC! So, people kept asking me about my Blue's,so i decided to put up this thread. Here you will find all the info you need.:ying: It started when i came across the livers/blues, i new this was my type of herb!its just so dank, crazy blueberry /skunky dankness, the taste is really strong and coats the mouth like weed from back in the day.Rumoured to be Skunk #1 from 89-90 ish..from the sssc??i have heard this strain called everything! from blueberry super skunk to cheese and back to blueberry again, lol! Anyway after a long search i found this One.i've been growing this for about a year and a half and still drool for the taste, lol. So i crossed it to my secret male to create Mack's Blues.i am currently working on some seeds. here's a jar shot of the macks blues.:ying:mack.

Hey Mack 10, didn't know this was from the Blue/Livers very interested in these seeds then ;). You planning an IBL of your cut or just a few hybrids? Also congrats on the win at the Cup :). I will be watching this thread, take care 1

P.S. I love the cheese or at least the versions i've got to sample (BB/GH and maybe 1 more) and I know this is right up there with the cheese and the pyscosis cuts. Really glad you are working with this 1

Very tasty stuff for sure, was a pleasure to sample her at 4/20 (wish i had more though lol and im intrigued to taste some bubble made from her too).
The boys gotta be special to blend so beautifully with the Blues without diluting or changing her too much from her favourable traits.......was the boy a stinker?
How would you say the male contributed to the cross? What were his best features?
I always look for a stinkers and then try to find the one with the best structure which sometimes takes a few runs to really get to know, i have had a few boys that were not very branchy from seed but the cutting had much better structure and jumped them up the pecking order after a couple runs.
I have been considering trying to reverse a male to see how it looks as a female, something that is possible as a visual aid for selection but she can not be smoked due to the chemicals used for the cross.
Always keen to see males people are working with, quite a rare these days but always a treat.
Cant wait to see that Macks Blues getting out to people, especially in regular seed form coz i get the impression she will be good for breeding into some of the other uk clones going around of a similar spectrum of flavours/smells.
Anyway enough rambling from me, peace.

Big ups True! i nearly wrote a long essay about this and that, then kept it short, lol first off, bubble and bho is very strong! my mate hides when i get the honeycomb out,(lmao @ jackfrost99)no doubt we'll meet up sooner or later and you will get to taste it for yourself. Males... they can be tricky, to get them to do what you want, this one took 8 weeks to flower, had nice branching, not much visible resin,BUT let the flavour from the mom (blues) come through real good, it has not took away that blues essence infact i think its added to it with a more diesel/petrol darker tinge on the exhale. other pheno's have even a raspberry note, that blends into the blues smell! i love it.I'm going to be back crossing the macks blue's to the clone(uk blues) again and test them(re, clone x male= macks blues,= mb x clone= mb bx1,) all to see which is best, then making regular seeds and doing some outcrosses to see what can be found.testing and more testing.Entering the cup was a sort of test to see what people thought...2nd place says they like it, so watch this thread for info, pics of males, females and siblings to come, Mack quote=dank.frank;5115377]THAT UK cut - ;)

Hey mack 10, that Mack's Blue's looks like a nice bush and that it might do well in a scrog setup due to the branching. I'm imagining this strain done outside, a big bush full of the Blues ;). That would make a nice a pile of cheesey blueberry nugs, yummy! Take care 1

Hi true,

Have you considered reversing males using ethylene?

That's what Nevil and Kangativa have been doing down under on their super sativa breeding project to induce smokable female calyxes on males.

Hi mack

Beautiful shots of your blues cross. Is the plant shown a selection from the f1s? How many did you go through to find that plant? Reminds me of Cheese x NL.

I don't suppose you have any shots of the mother to compare them to?

Im intrigued by the blues cut, purely because I've yet to knowingly smoke it, but hear from reliable sources that it is like a more refined cheese. Less mongy stone and slightly superior flavour.

Proper cheese is still one of my all time favourites so a fruitier tasting slightly more psychoactive version definitely appeals to me.

Looking forward to seeing how you get on with the bx.

Peace

Thanks my bro.:tiphat:

@ piff,

Yes, the plant shown is F1. She was found from a batch of 50 beans, pheno #4. Then cloned. She does have that cheesey look, somewhat denser.more rounded buds(like the Nl cross) and can actually turn blue! She is a medium yielder, but well worth while.
i will look for some pic's of the mom, but most where on my old computer which my bro smashed up in a paddy, lol.
You are bang on with your assessment. more refined, happier sativa edge, but still dreamy.Taste and smell are truelly unique.
it does taste the same as the smell.you will find yourself double exhaling, just so you can taste it again!,lol. Good luck on your Blues hunt,

MacK

Peace[/quote]

Nice one Mack - the blue colouring must come from the father as I understand the blues cut doesn't turn blue with cold.

Happy dusting mate.

Peace
