Macedonia is culturally and geographically tied to Bulgaria so the landrace is probably very similar.

The plants can be considered a giant ruderalis and they're mostly descendant from industrial hemp that was grown there until the last world war and beyond. High CBD.

Are you sure it's not plain and simple C. sativa L. (or Hillig)? Okay, it'll be most certainly considered a rudi in toker taxonomy... :D
Given the remoteness and low population density in some regions there it may well be truly wild hemp (if that still exists in Europe) or at least a mix with feral fibre hemp...

Technically that's probably what it is. They haven't really reached a consensus on what populations are "real ruderalis" so the term can imo be used to loosely describe all feral cannabis sativa populations. Without gene tests it's impossible to say which ones are the source populations and which ones escaped cultivars. These are most likely escaped cultivars possibly mixed with an existing wild population. They autoflower too which I think is crucial for a rudy.

So far, genetic and other analyses haven't accomplished to discriminate C. sativa from C. cf. ruderalis :) . I suppose the autoflowering trait is one of the best 'markers' for what we call 'ruderalis'. On contrary, why would a plant growing at 41-42°N be autoflowering? I have no clue if feral hemp from south-east Europe has a photoperiod... just wondering.

Beats me. Perhaps it's a part of the package when reverting to the wild form. They flower at two months age regardles of photoperiod, but they aren't exactly fast flowering.

Well you should ask our Macedonian brothers how are they connected with Bulgarians ..when Serbs liberated them from Bulgaria heh they waited them with old Slav tradition - Леб и сол.

If there is any foregin influence on Macedonian landrace-must be from Albania. :tiphat:

They're nothing but Slavs, no matter how hard they try to call themselves "Macedonians"...

Please, keep it civilised! There has been enough bloodshed, civil war, and violation of human rights in the last two decade to last for the next two hundred years. And most importantly, there still remain too many 'unavenged' blood feuds, hurt national pride, and religious conflicts and we really don't need to rub salt in these not so old and not truly healed wounds!
It's neither about actual political borders, ethnic groups, nor religions but geography, agricultural history, and how cannabis/hemp has been cultivated and spread amongst nations past.

Don't get ignited, lad!
I only called them what they are, so don't come telling me that if for instance I call a German German then I'm being uncivilized! I have no intention whatsoever of rubbing salt on anybody's wounds! I have enough of me own...

Me ignited? ROFLMAO
I'm trying to smother the spark before it ignites and I'm not blaming anyone in particular ;) .
Languages, first and especially foreign, are a difficult skill; maybe it's simply because you're not anglophone that your statement sounds rather insulting and depreciatory...
nothing but Slavs
sounds like 'they are just a bunch of savages and nothing more': You should know how proud they are and that statement throws oil on the fire we certainly don't want flare up!

Zdrastvujte bratci!
No need to make drama here, Orfeas surely doesnt chase poor imigrants around with baseball bats ;) Macedonians are Slavs for sure, maybe not so proud as others but lovely people. Greeks are very sensitive about name Macedonia cos of history and their northern part of republic, which is named same as former Yugoslav republic of Macedonia. They surely dont look on us like western nations..Germans named us untermench-subhuman but we fucked them hard 4ever  their former leader lies ina box for shoes in Moscow hahaha SF-SN!
Back ontopic: Macedonia has quite unpleasant neighbour Albania, which attacked their own people in Lazarat few days ago. Ganja growers responded with anti-tank rockets and machineguns, but they were overrun later by 800 members of speciial police unit..better luck next time, but they were not a army of Selasie :canabis::smokeit:
