LVPK Harvest Shots

Hey IC!

Today I started my harvest of Las Vegas Purple Kush from my 2K organic soil room. I had 12 of these in 5 gallon pots, and 3 other plants to include 2 phenos of calizahr, and one carolina blue. Here in this thread I wanted to share mainly my experience with LVPK thus far.

Easy to root clones, aligator skin like fan leaves, strong, hardy, some of the hardest stems I have ever grown, like hardwoods, they do still bend from the weight but they are very hard. Not to picky of an eater from my experience with her in the soil mix I use.

I have harvested one 18g plant prior to this harvest, so I did get to try her out once before. This plant smells almost exactly like a couple sweet/sour mix sour bubble phenos I have grown out. Like red koolaid sour. 1 day into the dry and a more "mocha" smell comes out, and through the cure this sticks. Pretty much a dead on kush flavor and smell, can be a little mild but so smooth. The high is great, can be devastating.

The plant puts on a ton of trichromes, and purples regardless of temps. I did notice the plants under the higher intensity lighting purpled much faster, I figure this is from higher metabolism. Also I noticed leaves "shadowing" other leaves, left a outline of color on the leaves below. Pretty wild!

These pictures literally serve this plant no justice, I have been jaw dropped most the time trimming this shit. I have been solo hand trimming and having fun! Hard to solo hand trim sitting next to two spin-pro trimmers. Yields are looking to be up there, hoping for a good average per plant. The bag appeal of this strain is a 10!

Shit ton of pictures, enjoy!

Nice, looks like a low yielder, where amongst other "elite" cuts does it rank?

First off those photos look super sweet, and the plants grew over the bamboo so bigger stakes next time ;)

I'd love to see a nice list of elites and their yields as well, but as for this strain / pheno it goes over 1lb per plant in hydro and kills everything at the pepsi challenge on day 56.

She looks like the yield will be small, but her nugs are denser than any other strain out there. I'd bet there is no strain that beats her on a gram per square foot basis. Sure you can get a 20oz Alaskan Ice (like DominicanGreen did) but it takes up at least twice as much room.

On the pheno's history. It is a clone only originating in Las Vegas. As legend goes KyleKushman crossed "A very special Hash Plant" with an "Afgan/Pak Kush" Well both of those sound like land race hindu kush region indicas to me. The result is this amazing lady.

And if that is not the linage we can pretend one of us bred her, but the truth is she spreads as a clone and has for years. I first got her 7 years ago and it has been the longest relationship of my life!

If you've ever smoked her grown by a master grower like pictured, she would have a life long place in your heart too.

How's the smell on her? A friend is growing the LVPK and a pre98 bubba kush next to each other and only the bubba actually smells like kush.
Nice work:tiphat:

she is a nice one no doubt, i find compared to some of my other strains she lacks a little in taste and smell but the high is right up there with the best of them, as Hydrosun said she is very dense, some of mine purple up well and others stay green, I have one in a scrogg that is 3 weeks away from chop and is the best one i have grown , a classic kush for sure. I deffinatly wouldent rank it in the top 5 elites but its still in my grow so it has to be close
