Lung Room Questions

I've got a 12x20 shed with concrete foundation, inside that I've built an 8x8x8 room, fully insulated and sealed. Inside the room I have walled up two 4x4 rooms. Im wanting to use the leftover 4x8 space for the lungs and one 4x4 for flower and the other for veg. Ac, dehumidifier, C02 in lung room. Filter, fan, temp and humidity controller in flower and veg. Is this possible? Seeing as the both require different humidity, C02, and temps for the most part. This is my first Grow and stealth and security are of the utmost importance. I've got the money to do it right. Just need some advice.

Your fine, flower and veg don't necessarily need different temps and humidity just keep the whole grow unit at a reasonable number like 75 degrees and 65% RH or whatever works for you. C02 is also irrelevant, many people don't use it in veg just in flower but your certainly not going to hurt anything by doing it.

Excellent. Thank you for your input. I know it may seem like too much for a first grow, but the security this provides me is worth it.

dont use co2 in the beginning. learn to grow first!
use LST, research Organic soil mixes, benefitial microorganisms, research VPD, use RO water

In a perfect world I would do just that. Start in soil and learn the ropes that way. My situation requires as much stealth and security as possible. I'll just have to learn on the fly. I know I'll make mistakes and waste money in the process but I'll get it dialed in eventually.

Sounds like a good setup, but I thought you used a lung room for two flowering rooms?
You flip the rooms and pump night time air into the day time room and vice versa. That way you may not need to generate more Co2?

Make sure you design in good ventilation and air treatment. Mini split if ya can

You will need to use co2 throughout the whole grow if it's sealed, if you have air exchange you'll be fine without it.

That's why I asked the question. Can't find much info on lung rooms in general but the little I have found only addresses two flower rooms. Im gonna aim to keep temps mid 70's, rh at 55% or so. If I need to drop rh later in flowering I can add something in the veg room to up rh if necessary. I'm just super stoked to get started. Gotta shit load of beans to try out. Especially excited about the blue velvet x nlxhaze.

In my lung room I have a Panasonic whisper line fan with a carbon filter on it. Its then ducted into each room with a duct splitter. With the rooms sealed the air is forced back into the lung room (which in my case from under the door gap)

Rule of thumb for lung rooms has always been at least the size of both bloom rooms for proper environment exchange and re mix back into the rooms continuously 24/7....and...

With air exchange twice per minute , not sealed w/CO2....that said....You can build a small seed , clone , pre-veg cabinet 2 x 4 x ceiling height with shelves for each different stage of growth like I did for lotta yrs....

Just need a 40 watt shop light for cuts , and a T-5 for beans or rooted cuts to pre-veg before goin into the flip rooms....and also....

It`s hard to control environment in smaller rooms with HID lights , so as McKush stated , look into mini-splits or at least a wall banger for the lung room to help keep temps under control....and lastly....

As stated above , the purpose of lung rooms is /was /and should always be to use air exchange twice per minute with 2 flip rooms turning on and off every 12 hrs for max production and no power spikes that utility companies can take note of if you live in an illegal state....plus...

The lights off room that ALWAYS has excess CO2 and RH spikes from getting rid of what the plants didn`t metabolize during lights on , pumps that out into the lung area that in turn feeds the lights on room that NEEDS the extra CO2 and elevated RH for optimal VPD parameters and explosive growth....anyways....

My 2 centavos from all them yrs....regardless of whatchas come up with ........

Good luck....DHF....:ying:....

Lung rooms are also useful in cold climates to normalize air temps. Here in the desert, my veg/clone room is my lung room.
