Depends on strain. My SNLs are fine without anything for 10-12 days, but the Jems I ran wanted a least a little nutes from Day 1. I'd say don't do anything for 4-5 days, then start at 5-10% strength and see how they react.
How much light and what kind of light are they getting?
Once they start showing deficiencies with just plain water, I hit them with 1/4str and make sure they're getting comfortable with full lighting. (If they aren't already)
To a point determined by strain, the plant will require more nutrients the more light it's exposed to. I start my seedlings out in full str lighting (in the wild they sprout under the sun) and never let up. They stay healthy, short, bushy and vigorous and also need to start eating within a week of sprouting.
If you have less intense lighting it will be a while. Be careful because it's easy to overheat them when they're young and too much light is easy to do as well. Takes a while to figure a happy medium but it's worth the time.
