LST turned HST

I was trying to do some LST on this lil girl, and it turned into HST by accident. her stem is bent at a 90 degree angle. What I am wondering is should I leave her like this and will she continue to grow? Or should I scrap the LST attemp and take the parts above the break and use the peices as clones? Here's a pic.

ive been lucky enough not to damage a plant in lst, so couldnt tell ya. one thing i learned is that if you do it when the plants need water, they are much easier to work with.

that's good to know now, if I had known that earlier then I wouldn't have watered her 20 mins before I tried the lst

You supercropped her, I had an outdoor male plant where I did little experiments with and I bended the stem like you did and suddenly the plant had 6-7 tops (including the bended branch) exposed directly to the sunlight..The plant (& the tip) will make it. If you want you could support the branch a little so it doesn't snap, but normally it wont.

Hi m8
As Was said
The stems are deff more flexable before a watering...

Also i have never creased/bent a stem by accident,I have done so on purpose a few times(for various reasons)
One reason was on a outdoor plant i had,It was growing way to big to hide.I did not want to do a simple bend over(i like experementing)
So i creased the stem(i crushed the stem a bit with my finger/thumb first)
Then i done it again 2 weeks later(splinted both breaks up).....My reckoning was i slowed the growth down for a month...Which is what the experiment was about(for me)..
Also tried it compared to LST on a grow.
Same strain
Some i done LST on
One i topped and done a bit of HST(only on a few branchs tho)

Infact there in flower with me at mo(only by a week tho).but all the plants look good(Dont see no real loss in growth with the HST one.....
Lol next grow(got some veggin about to do there first transplant/training in a week or so)
I iwll do one Purely HST,No Ties to hold it down,Just bends/creases...Lol should be fun*smileS*

K i am rambleing now
Yours looks like a nice bend/crease(the sides dont look to of split)
It will hardly need anytime to heal up(and dont need to do anything to it)
I would make sure there is no fan blowing on it to much for a few days,Dont want to agitate it at that point(i would imagine))))

ok cool, I noticed today that the original tip has already started to point back up so I am relieved I will have to see how this goes in comparison to the LST and the ones that I top and see which strains like what best. Thanks again for all Ur help.

I've grown with restricted vertical space before and sometimes used stem bending especially on taller strains to keep plant tops from getting too close to lamp and haven't noticed a drop in yield, the only negative I could see from the process is that if you do it early on you may need to veg a lil longer. I've accidentally snapped stems and within 24-48 hours the apical meristem went from hanging upside down to curving 180 degrees back towards the light. If it doesn't recover within a few days, it wont recover, and it will be obvious.

rember your growing WEED it will eventually sort of fix itself and the site where bent will ballon out and actuallyb become quite strong

Leave it alone, she will repair herself and you see a kind of "scar" there, a bump where it bent. I would never remove a broken one unless it broke all the way off.

You will be surprised at how resilient these gals are.

that is true...My pop snaps branches all the time....they always seem to repair them selves...stay safe

Hello all,

I purposely bend my branches like that when I need to change the location of a bud.

It will be fine in two to three days and growing as if nothing happened.
