do you guys keep em tied up ,,,forever? or after the unruley little bitchs grow tops out of everywhere do you ever untie them and let them right themselfs ? i have these sativas still 70 days flower and growing like mad ! like they wont stop vegging. no light leaks either !
I usually untie a few weeks into flowering when lst'ing, usually when the stretch is done or almost done.
they should be flowering at 70 days flowering if they are on a 12/12 schedule. They are on 12/12 right? And your positive there are no light leaks? Although even if you do have minor light leaks, they should still start budding. I've had minor light leaks in my grow on certain occasions and i've never had a plant no bud while under 12/12.
ya, by day 12/12 of flower any strain should have started flowering by now...somthing isnt right.
Maybe you arent on 12/12 ... check your timer to make sure,
do you even have any pre-flowers yet?
are they 70 days old from seed or 70 days into 12/12?
yeah, id have to agree with sweet.soon as the stretching is done, i unstrap my girlies. last grow when i lstd em, i actually drilled holes in the pot, goin all the way around and actually forced the stem to grow along the circumfrence of the pot. got the idea in a forum, works really well if done properly. took a while, but with some bushmaster and a fan i had a nice decline of colas goin all the way around the pot. wish i had pics never really been a fan of a camera though. couple weeks into flowering seems to be the general consensus though. good luck!
I guess it depends how you LST. I keep mine tied down until the very end, because I don't just LST the main, thick stems, but also every tiny stem also, and even some leaves, and buds, and they obviously wouldn't stay down if I untied them. That's more like bondage than LST'ing though I guess.
when i'm gonna LST a plant or few i'll start the training early 2 into life for the plant weather it be clone or seed plant. 1 have LST'd several plants and allways have the main stem grow 1-2 inch off soil along the width of the container
heres a plant that was LST'd then flowered outside in late fall
heres another done inside
everything that could be tied down was once plant is in finial container and the main top reachs the edge i allow it to grow stright up. also the side but i do adjust and tack to the wall branchs when need be.
