ok i love to lst since i scrog...but i have only limited veg space to work with...I like to flower in 2gal pots...so that means I have to transplant then flower.... I usualy veg-->transplant-->lst--->flower...

what I want to do is somehow LST the plant to its self instead of the pot...

i use christmas ornament hooks, string, and washers/nuts to weigh the branches down to where i want them . easy as pie and works great.

nah he wants the strings that u tie to the plant to be attached to the plant instead of the pot at the other end. makes no sense on how u could do that

I LST'ed on my previous grow and transplanted 4 times. I just re-do the LST'ing whenever it goes into a bigger pot. The final pot size was 5 gallons.

Tying the plant to itself seems kind of weird, and I don't see how that would work, but good luck with that.

Do you have to try a lot of different weight sizes to find the right one that works for each branch, or have you found a size that works well for all your branches ? Have one of your branches ever broken from having a too heavy weight attached to it ?

greenhead : i have an assortment of weights, also, hooking on closer to the end of the branch gives you more effect. havent broken a branch yet but i only just started this method on the last 2 grows.

Just supercrop and you wont need strings

Your plant looks nice and very short. Can you explain what you mean by supercropping though ? I did a google search, and it seems like everybody has a different definition for what exactly it is.

Thanks ! That method seems to be working out pretty good for you.

I have a thread in the micro forum where I explain supercroping in more detail. The thread is called "Check out this scrog plant" The explanation starts on page 3 and I have picks to show what I'm talking about.I must confess that I don't type very well and it's kind of hard to teach an old dog new tricks.

I've seen a number of people secure a zip-tie or large rubberband around their pot and secure the LST device to it. Seems like a no-fuss answer to knocking holes in your pot...

I am very inexperienced but all i did was drill a hole in my 3 gall buckets and tie the plants down with some kite-string... the stems were nice and easy to bend so i did about 75* angle and now they seems to just be growing straight to wards the light now... no problems yet.

I have also seen people here use several large rubber bands around the pot to hold the strings down. Just pull the strings to pull down the branches more. Same theory as the zip ties.
