Hi y'all!

I have a question for experienced lowrider growers

I've got a couple of lowriders #1 planted in 1.7 liter pots, and are currently at about 3 weeks growth from seed. They are just starting to show sex.

The question: Will transplanting them to a bigger pot at this stage do more harm (root stress) or good (biger pot - bigger root system - bigger buds)?

I wouldn't do it. my rule of thumb is- the transplanting stops when the buds start.

you should normally transplant them asap as they show sex if not grown in their last container from seed, ur about the right time just do it just handle them with care and give them a small feed and a good watering once transplanted into their new container

I will probably do the following - transplant half of them, and leave the other half in the original container. I will then compare the results and see what is better!

Do what you wanna mate but i've done it much later with great success, its just that the earlier the better, just handle with care if you dont break the roots, stress is minimal.

I would put them in bigger containers.
The information I gatherd is that small containers hit the yield on AFs really hard...

The smaller, the less...

Stress is what hits them more than container size. LR is a small plant but 1.7 L is too small for a final plant really. Personally I'd up pot to two or three gallon containers. I wouldn't go larger than three gallons with dwarf sized autos like LR.

Sandnut is spot on, transfer as soon as sex shows for less stress and more growth.

I'd pot them up to something that had at least three inches more deep of stuff for them to grow in. I'd do a gallon, anyways.

I've never had any problems when I potted up, but if you wait longer, there won't be any benefit.
