I'm sure this has to be a deficiency, but I'm not sure what. She is at week 3 of flowering. Been feeding her manure tea, molasses, and Schultz's Cactus Plus fertilizer. Those yellow veins are throwing me. K deficiency maybe?
The pro-mix bale lists that as an ingredient. I have Epsom salts on hand if needed, but was holding off in case a possible salt build up was causing the deficiency.
Can you post some pix of the whole plants with some closeups?
Lose the Shultz and get a good organic grow nute like BioBizz or Advanced Nutrients, balance the ph of the solution before feeding and monitor the ph of the runoff. If it is out, adjust nute solution and/or water accordingly. Add kelp to the nutes and you will have plenty of K and lotsa hormones, micronutes and other good things.
Is the yellowing starting at the bottom of the plant and working it's way up?
When was the promix fresh ie. beginning of bloom period?
Don't know what the pH is, never check it usually. Would be more inclined to think a lock out was occurring to to high salinity. Both, synthetic ferts and the manure can be high in salts.
Pictures won't be available until "daytime".
I hate to be using the Schultz but it's what I have available. We don't have one of those fancy "hydro" shop around here, shoot not that long ago we got of the RR mail addressing system.
And over at the feed store when you ask for Guano they look at you real funny. So the majority of my micro-nutrients, enzymes and microbe activity are coming from the compost added during veg and the manure tea. These are feed by the Blackstrap molasses, which also helps chelate some of the materials provided by the compost/manure. If $$ was plentiful I would perhaps order something online, but....
Every town in this country has miracle grow 15-30-15. Its crappy with all its potassium chloride and urea nitrogen but it does have all the micronutrients in chelated form. Try about 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon per gallon of water everytime you water. Add occassionally 1/4 teaspoon epsom salts per gallon of water along with it to provide sulfur. Then with the dolomite lime in your promix, you would be providing complete nutrition.
you need to know your ph at all times. If it is high or low the nutrients in your soil will become unavailable for your plants to use. If this is the case putting more ferts in will be bad. It may mimic the condition of lack of ferts, but it may not necessarily mean that you need to add more.
I think you were lacking N, and that your fan leaves are yellowing bottom up because of it. Some pix will help diagnose. If that's the case then a light nitrogen feeding will get her to maturity. Most guys taper off the N throughout flowering and end up with yellow and even multicoloured leaves. The finished pot tastes and smells better as the chlorophyll disappears.
Adding miracle grow is bullshit and radioactive and I wouldn't trust anyone who came around offering solutions to problems without even asking questions. maybe sproutco/blackvelvet should grow a MJ plant or two before he gives advice to people...
I think you were right on the N..lol Checking them tonight her pot was far lighter than it should have been and lighter than everyone elses. Turns out she was lacking pretty much everything, including water. I apparently missed her on the last watering run. So the deficiency is more "old timers" than a particular nutrient.
I didn't even get a nasty comment or a rebuttal of my accusations, which confirms all my suspicions with one petulant little swipe of the neg rep button.
Ha ha ha!
How's the sickie, pastor420? Sometimes when my hibiscus get's dry, she starts to yellow up and lose leaves.
Stick with the composts and teas and natural stuff. Your mj will be so much better quality, and not radioactive! What you put in your plants = what you put in your body, and I care about you enough to want you to be healthy and safe!
She is doing much better Pete, thanks for asking. Looking like her old self again.
When I eat a tomato or eggplant from my garden it tastes so much better than anything the store has for sale. Same has been true with my other garden as well. Not to sound preachy, but I would rather use the stuff God made then the stuff man has made. Can you say thalidomide......
