low tric production

Pretty strange...

Right now I am growing out some sour life savers F2s. THe parental strains were pretty frosty, these are not. Granted they have another two weeks to finish, but Im used to seeing nugs covered in trics.

Anyone do a grow where there was low tric production ? what was the high like?

Could be grower error, I got my ass whooped this summer and had a few bad plants due to environmental problems. I finally got shit straightened out thankfully but had a couple plants with crappy trich coverage, smoke was ok, potency was decent, you maybe had to smoke a little bit more than usual. It was the bag appeal that suffered the most. I know it wasn't the genetics because this was on clones I had grown many times.

IMO if they look crappy with 2 weeks left to grow they're probably not going to look much better at harvest.

There is nothing worse then poor bag appeal, it's very depressing after you put in months of work.

I pollinated a Flo mom with a very good unknown father and so I had F1 seeds. The Flo and father and the resulting F1's were all very sticky with a nice smell and taste.
The F2 seeds from the F1's were my latest grow and they had almost no smell and almost no trichs to be seen, I even let one go for 12 weeks. They are just a few weeks into a cure and one jar has a slight grape smell but the others have very little smell at all. So far the high is extremely weak, I'm not impressed and doubt I'll grow these F2's again, in fact I'll try something new and add a few of the F1's for filler.........
