Made a trip down to Sun Valley, stopped in @ Sun Valley Caregivers, had a lot of clones and a buncha chronic. Met the guy who does the posting online for the club and he was a pretty nice informed guy, no one else was there so I spent a few minutes talking to him. then I did what i had come to do, get some clones and chronic. this was $75 an eighth and he said it was more than everyone else's, but "believe me" <cold dark stare> "it was so much better that it was well worth it"... read on to find out...

taste and smell are overpoweringly strong. It is like your standard OG but with some serious fuel behind it, just waiting for you to light it on fire! the second you crack the jar it stings your nose and makes you want to get a closer smell. Upon breaking it up its five times stinkier inside, and the kinda stuff that is so goey it tears apart instead of breaks up. Will lock up a herb grinder easily.

The high is potent as can be for an indica, it right off the bat incompacitates most smokers with one bowl of the stuff, being a heavy smoker it takes me two bowls to get totally lit off this stuff the first time i ever smoked it. Id say half the time im done after two, the rest of the time I go for a third bowl and im sloppy like i been out drinking all night. cant answer any of the 5 w's type stuff. I broke up five bowls to do this report, and upon snapping the second and getting half way into this report it made me fall asleep in my chair for near 3 hours. Ive never had that happen before, its almost noon now. One of those ones where ya wake up still stoned and dont know if its 7am or 7pm .


Now this is what I call some FIRE OG!!! Taste smell potency its all here. Strong indica. Im a sativa kinda guy through and through, never thought id say it - but this indy kicked my butt! An eighth of this would outlast a quarter of everything else I acquired this weekend, and it weighs less -seeing as im ok paying upwards of $20 a gram for potent hash, $75 an eighth for potent pot it is!

Comment: Fat homegrown style like you are used to. Big giant calyx all over this one, it is very well cured and dense yet fluffy in that way you know its gonna be nice to smoke regardless the potency.

2. Visible Trichomes: 9.5
Rate the visible trichome content from 1-10 none-totally covered.
Comment: Hot damn, this thing is armed to the teeth with fat glandular trichome bombs! When you hit it with the loupe it looks spectacular inside. Best looking trichs ive ever seen from a club hands down. This is a sea of white glandular heads, and a lot of them are amber, something else very rare for club dank.

3. Use an X to indicate the colors that are present in the trichome heads under magnification or list the percentages of each color for
a more precise report.

Comment: ooohh wweeee that is some astringent OG. Has the standard OG funk smell to it, but there is something in there that cant be called spicey, it smells like some kind of drain cleaner almost, makes you pull your nose away at first. If i didnt know better, judging by the smell, this would be the super OG cut (ssh x OG.K) that is running around the bay area quickly. Almost has a hazey burn to it.

jeremiah johnson - thanks for stopping in, im always more than happy to educate the community, and the individual patient on cannabis.. todays lesson is straight from APE, the socal distributor of the SSH cut:

How is the Indica Pheno different? First it's the pheno that did the 3 year "hat trick" at the Cannabis Cup (please no Cannabis Cup flamers ruinning this thread . Everything about it Sativa except for the structure.

Most SSH out there takes anywhere from 10-12 weeks to fully mature. They also stretch like crazy making them a little difficult to manage-especially for beginners.

The INDICA PHENO finishes in 8 weeks and does not stretch much at all. The colas are glazed with trichs and then there is the rotten grapefruit smell to it. The colas are semi dense but the Sativa influence can definately be seen. They candy coated for sure.

The high is immediate and strong. Most say there is no ceiling to it and love the "up" high with it's confusing, yet laid back head to it. It definately gets you "STUCK ON STUPID" for a while.

It loves to be opened up and tied down. The yield is good and you almost cannot kill it. So, it's great for the experienced grower or the newbie. Trust me...it's different than all other SSH clones you'll find out there. I was lucky enough to get this cut from an old guy in San Francisco. He's been growing this one from the original seed batches from the Greenhouse when Shanti was still there (another story). Everyone loves this one...

No prob herbalisitic, thanks for dropping in. Not sure which list your referring to, but the list i made earlier was all of the clones that I picked up, not all of the clones available.

I picked up: lemon og kush, dabney blueberry kush, super silver haze (indica pheno), '91 chemdawg, chem #4, shrom, pure og kush, UK cheese.

The full list of clones available from SVC has been, and will be updated in the future, in the so-cal clones thread in the medi forum on this site.

Are you sure that cut you got from SVC was called the "Pure O.G Kush" or was it "Pure Kush"? I don't think that APE has a cut called the Pure OG Kush.

That "Dabney Blueberry Kush" is actually just the plain old Dabney Blueberry cut... no Kush. Was it being advertised at SVC as that name?

The U.K Cheese cut you have is the same cut that's on the boards, its dank!

Oh cool Sauron, havent run his pheno yet but ive seen a couple more indica-infused phenos in the couple packs of shanti's ssh ive run. Cut-wise, I'm only familiar with the Catpiss ssh and Romulator's ssh.

hey wick, at the nncc they had small white strips in each clone that said the date on one side and the name or an abbreviation on the other side. They said 2/1 on both sides, "The Pure" on one and I think DB? on the other one . The masking tape along the bottom of the clone tray said Pure OG, and Dabney Blueberry Kush. If these are your cuts and the names are incorrect by all means please point me in the right direction. I can snap some pics of them later on if it helps at all.

I have no idea what the clones are until I veg/flower them out, for all i know someone was having a bad day and changed all the tags and I got a bunch of GDP. Hoping thats not the case, I appreciate the work you and ape do getting those clones labeled properly and out to the community. Thanks for all ya do.

All of the other cuttings I got at the SVC in sun valley, those were labeled in front of me by the dispensary operator.

JeremiahJohnson, yeah the romulator was a popular one in the bay for a good bit, but im hoping this indy one turns out nice.
