Loud Booms

Tis the season to be weird.

Have you ever heard one of those loud booming sounds that have been reported?

I did. I believe it was maybe 2-3 years ago. I was laying in bed, finished a call with someone earlier and resting after work, when... BOOOM!!!!!

The house was shaking. Everythig was shaking. I'm not the timid type when it comes to storms. For the first time in my life, I was pretty much scared, because it sounded like a bomb.

I assumed someone had attacked downtown. I haven't turned on my television in years, but I did that day. I called to see if others heard it, and my family about a 20 minute drive from me, heard it.

I actually ran to the front door to look out and see if I could see a cloud over the city.

Ever personally hear the loud booms?

Yes. Some have been of unknown origin, couple others were earthquakes. lol Last ones I heard were my neighbor getting shot in the chest. like 20 ft behind me while I was working in my brakes in their driveway.Needless to say I still jump at every loud bump or noise...But yeah I've experienced loud random unexplained Booms at several points in my life. My girl and I still wonder about one that woke us up at 3 or so in the mornin YEARS ago, like 1997 or 98. Scared the shit outta both of us..

Hmmm... very very interesting on the booms too. It's weird how I forgot about those booms until today. It was pretty unreal, even though it was really happening.

Ever so slightly before my time. I would say I could only imagine, but the booms I heard felt like legitimate bomb blasts and were truly terrifying. It was during all that talk of dirty bombs and me watching "24" on dvd.

Domestic dispute between 2 guys. Neighbor's gf's dad was helping his daughter move out of house due to continued abuse from her bf. Dad is some type of NLR prison gang bigshot, witnessed Bf hit his daughter and knocked bf's teeth out as any Dad would do. Bf was in and out of house all that day, complaining about getting hit and whining like a bitch,came home at night, talked to me and my buddy like shit was cool, then walked down to his & his gf's downstairs apt, (downstairs was converted to apt), and greeted the dad and ex-gf w/a 38..needless to say hilarity ensued. Dad deflected 1st shot aimed at daughter, then bf stepped back and said"ok" and shot dad in the chest. Blood everywhere. Dad was like "you shot me you pussy!!" Lol. Dude charged at me and my buddy like he was gunna get us too, got in his car and took off. Now I hear dude is trying to claim self defense..puss. But back to subject at hand, when have you heard booms? In the day? Nighttime? Both?

In the 80s Luke air force base in Az.. would break the sound barrier all the time with their jets.. super loud and would rattle all the windows.

Yeah those sonic booms ain't nothing to fuck with lol. I lived by an afb growing up too and clearly remember a couple over the city. I'm pretty sure that's a no no over a populated area but it still happens.

as it blew ...over TX........
was laying in bed early ... right @ 8 am... loud as fuck... actually what woke me....

yeah.
was watching tele one morning in las vegas when i heard this awesome explosion.
a tremedous blast that shook my windows and made my dogs whine. i went to my roof to see if i could locate it. there was another second one that almost made me fall off the house.
it was the pepcon blast. saw the smoke heard the blasts...freaky as f*ck. i was twentyfive miles from the facility.

Grew up on Air Force bases and then had my own career with same.

I've heard so many sonic booms, I'm not sure I'd even notice one.

not just booms but sounds of trains and some sort of synthesizer sp? youcan here in on you tube I posted a video there just crazy sounds cant really tell where they come from except up ,my dogs look up in bewilderment when it happens
