Lots of weird growth on my cakes

The cakes turn blue like that when you jar/touch them too much and also when there isnt enough humidity in your chamber. Nice looking shrooms none the less, enjoy them!

So VT are you going to spawn to bulk?? I highly reccomend it... You can easily get 4 ounces from one 12"x24" tray or monotub.. Like a 64qt monotub.. I think you should try.. Cakes aren't worth it in my opinion.. After somebody get's one grow under there belt then I think spawning to bulk is very easy.. Also a tip for when you clone.. When taking tissue from the mushroom always take it from the center of the stem.. Also don't slice the stem open, rip it open.. This way just incase something got on the outside of the shroom you won't be pushing the possible contam inside it.. Glad I can be of help!

yeah once the 4 remaining jars that are colonizing are ready I'm going to try my first monotub...very excited hah. You had me at 4 oz's.

BTW a few weeks ago when birthing a few cakes from jar to fruiting chamber i sliced a small section on myc. off a cake so that it would sit more flat, and threw the little chunk i cut off outside just for shits n giggles to see if it'd fruit. Long story short my buddy found a little cluster where i had tossed it but they had already grown and had started to rot a little. Wasn't sure if they'd even fruit around here outdoor so yeah pretty cool
