Lost my 3 mother clones this morning....

My blue mystic (berry sativa leaning pheno), darkstar (massive vigor pheno), and my maui (tropical taste pheno)...

Hopefully someone will swing by and say they have taken clones about 7 weeks into flower and everything was fine....

Nothing like sticking a clone into the bubbler with a giant cola on top....

Out of cloning gel as well... FML.

Damn man... Damn. That maui takes a solid 3 weeks to fucking root... Ahhhhh...

Okay I guess im done bitching. Off to smoke some BlueBerry Pie! Wish I was cloning that frigin plant ....

Sorry for your loss brother, if its any consolation, a few times, I have taken clones in week 7 all rooted in oasis cubes in 14 days, they spent 2 wks revegging then took off. Still runnin that plant a few years after the fact. It is definitely possible.

you can clone that late in flower. you can snip a bud and stem off and root that. all is not lost.

Bam! Stubs on my blue mystic, that was fucking fast! Actually faster than the normal veg clone, wtf?

The maui hasn't rooted nor the darkstar, however neither appear to be doing poorly. *crossing fingers*


Strain run down:

Blue Mystic - Amazing berry smell and taste. Great hybrid buzz, plenty of sativa with the indica to back it up without the sleepyness. There is slight grogginess the next day, unfortunately. I was taken by surprise with this strain, I never would had tried it if it wasn't for a friend. Hands off to nirvana on this one.

Maui - The smell is tropical, its in between a berry and floral type smell and taste. It was a mutant/runt that took over 3 weeks to sprout! I kept with it and it turned out to be an amazing plant. It starts off with these huge indica looking leafs but in a few weeks they turn to this beautiful slender thin light green leaf. Oh thats another thing, who likes that lime green bud? Yea, thats this. Its pretty dense for the amount of sativa thats in it. Its the biggest pain in the ass to grow though. The seeds are very hard shelled so the tap root cant push out, very high failure rate for seeds. The clones take a solid 3 weeks to get stubs. It needs exact and precise nutrients leaning towards the heavy feeding side. It bitches and moans from start to finish no matter what I do. Its currently in a breeding project but this far I can't get what I am looking for in the offspring. The males Ive selected over power her and it ruins the strain. I dunno, but its slow going with how long that strain takes. From sprouting seeds, cloning, growing, etc its a very slow plant.

Darkstar - Ran a pack, most were ok, but this one plant is like frigin godzilla. The vigor is unbelievable and it doesn't even require absurd nutes to make it happen. Very forgiving to grow. The smoke tastes like mazar and will knock you the fuck out in about a half hour. I do not prefer this strain, however I just can't throw it away, its fucking nuts in regards to growth.



*Sorry for rambling.. Just exited I didn't lose all of them. The blue mystic and maui are the most important. So it looks like at least 1 is saved.
